Now that Congress has rubber-stamped the Electoral College vote there are few who are bigger winners than Barack Obama who is off the hook for high crimes committed against his successor President Trump.
Obama’s exploitation of the nation’s formidable surveillance apparatus to spy on Trump, his transition team, and administration was perhaps the single greatest abuse of power by a sitting president and now, it is going to be covered up by the incoming Biden regime.
Not only is Obama off the hook, but like others who seized on Wednesday’s events in the nation’s capital to portray the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump as dangerous extremists, he quickly spiked the ball.
In a statement issued by a man who will be pulling Biden’s puppet strings, dear leader accused Trump of inciting violence and attacked those who refuse to swallow the lies about a legitimate election as embracing a “fantasy narrative that has spiraled further and further from reality.”
Via The Hill, “Obama calls mob scene a moment of ‘shame’ but not surprise”:
Former President Obama said history would recall riots by Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol as “a moment of great dishonor” that was brought on by a sitting president who continued to “lie” about the outcome of the November presidential election.
“History will rightly remember today’s violence at the Capitol, incited by a sitting president who has continued to baselessly lie about the outcome of a lawful election, as a moment of great dishonor and shame for our nation,” said Obama.
“But we’d be kidding ourselves if we treated it as a total surprise,” he said.
Obama blasted the Republican Party and “its accompanying media ecosystem” for refusing to acknowledge “this was not a particularly close election and that President-Elect [Joe] Biden will be inaugurated on January 20.”
“Their fantasy narrative has spiraled further and further from reality, and it builds upon years of sown resentments,” said Obama.
Obama called on Republican lawmakers to “choose reality” and “choose America” or continue “stoking the raging fires.”
The former Democratic president expressed optimism at the number of Republicans who spoke out against Trump on Wednesday.
“Their voices add to the examples of Republican state and local election officials in states like Georgia who’ve refused to be intimidated and have discharged their duties honorably,” said Obama.
Obama’s cowardly attack isn’t the first time that he has demonized conservatives, he has referred to them as bitter clingers, an elitist perspective that meshes with Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” that spectacularly backfired.
Mr. Obama was joined by fellow war criminal George W. Bush along with the suicided pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s BFF Bill Clinton in his condemnation of Trump and the mostly peaceful protesters who briefly occupied the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
Other than Obama, Clinton has to be breathing a huge sigh of relief after Republicans led by Vice President Mike Pence shanked Trump in the back ensuring that there will be no further scrutiny into the dealings of the Clinton Foundation which served as a global clearinghouse for corruption.
Conservatives had better get used to receiving lectures from Obama again, he will play a key role in the Biden administration.
