Biden Campaign Desperately Tries To Block Additional Debates Against Trump

The Biden campaign is clearly nervous about the upcoming debates between Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.
On Thursday, the Biden campaign embarrassingly rejected the Trump campaign's push to schedule more debates in the future between the two candidates.
Instead of admitting that Biden is a stumbling, bumbling man with early stages of dementia, deputy campaign manager and communications director for the Biden campaign Kate Bedingfield said that the only reason Trump wants more debates is because he is dipping into the polls.
“Six months after announcing he did not want to debate, Donald Trump — now trailing in the polls — wants to change the subject from his failed leadership, and launch a ‘campaign’ for many debates. But there’s a catch: he’ll only do it if he can pick the moderators,” Bedingfield said in a statement.
Check out what The Hill reported:
Recent polling has shown that Biden is continuing to move up in the polls further ahead of Trump as the two move toward the November election.
A Fox News poll released Thursday showed that Biden leads Trump by 12 points nationally. The newest poll comes as many Americans expressed concern about the way the president handled the protests demonstrating against the police killing of George Floyd.
“We will make this simple: like every other Democratic and Republican candidate since 1992, we will show up for the debates set by the Commission on Presidential Debates, at the places they have selected, on the dates they have selected, with the formats and moderators they designate — so long as Donald Trump does the same, and does not intimidate the Commission into changes from past practices,” Bedingfield said.
The Biden campaign is currently doing everything they can to limit the amount of time Biden is in public considering he is always embarrassing himself or making some sort of outlandish comment.
“Allies to Joe Biden have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president’s schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days,” reports The Hill. “The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden’s verbal flubs, have said it’s an approach that’s been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president’s stumbles.”
“He needs to be a strong force on the campaign trail, but he also has to pace himself,” said an insider.
“I think you’ll see the same schedule and maybe even more Joe Biden,” an ally to Biden said. “Everyone wants to see Joe Biden be Joe Biden. If he’s held back in any way, that’s almost the antithesis of who he is.”
