Biden Forgets The Declaration of Independence: "You Know The Thing"

During a speech on Monday in Texas, former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden seemed to forget the Declaration of Independence.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” Biden said. “All men and women created by you know, you know the thing.”

Check out what the Daily Caller reported:

The former vice president’s latest gaffe came on a day when the Democratic Party establishment appeared to coalesce around his candidacy, following Biden’s landslide victory in the South Carolina primary Tuesday night.

Biden is expected to get a boost on Super Tuesday after Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg dropped out.

Biden was roundly mocked on social media for appearing to forget America’s founding document.

Biden's gaffes seem to be getting worse and President Donald Trump is taking notice. On Saturday during a CPAC speech, President Trump hammered Biden for his common gaffes on the campaign trail.

The President specifically shredded the former Vice President for his most recent gaffe during the Democratic primary debate when he claimed that 150 million people have been killed by guns in the United States since 2007.

“How could you be easier to beat than Joe? The guy can’t put two sentences together,” President Trump said to the crowd.

President Trump argued that if Biden were to actually become president, he wouldn't be “running the government,” but instead he would "just going to be sitting in a home someplace and people are going to be running it for him.”

The President then turned his attention towards the media, hammering them for ignoring Biden's frequent gaffes.

“Here’s a guy who said they killed 150 million people with guns and nobody even talks about it,” President Trump said.

“If I would have said that, it would have been over,” he said. “You know, it only takes one little phrase for me, like a little couple of words. If you mispronounce a word, you know with all I speak, they say if you pronounce the word ‘the.’ ‘The!’ ‘He said “the.”‘ If you mispronounce ‘the,’ ‘There’s something going on.'”

The President continued by recalling the moment where he heard Biden claim that nearly half of America has died from gun violence since 2007. President Trump said he turned to his wife Melania Trump and joked that the media never even reported on the "terrible event."

“Did he just say they killed 150 million people?” President Trump said. “That’s half of our population, this is terrible event! We have to find out what’s going on. This is bad. This wasn’t reported by the fake news! I’ve gotta check that, First Lady.”
