BREAKING: ABC News Suspends Reporter After Project Veritas Leak

ABC News has suspended veteran Washington correspondent David Wright after he was secretly recorded slamming the network's political coverage and President Donald Trump.

Wright was disciplined late Tuesday night after higher-ups at ABC News reviewed a video released by Project Veritas, a conservative group that records 'undercover' footage of mainstream journalists to support its accusations of media bias.

Here's the announcement on Twitter:

ABC News made this decision after network officials reviewed the footage from Project Veritas, according to people familiar with the matter.

David Wright has been a reporter at ABC News for almost 20 years, and hosts several programs including “World News Tonight” and “Good Morning America.”

The full video from Project Veritas was released early Wednesday morning, and it exposes the corrupt nature behind the liberal news outlet. On hidden camera, David Wright was shown admitting the organization attempts to mislead voters.

"I Feel Terrible About it, I Feel That the Truth Suffers, the Voters Are Poorly Informed…Our Bosses Don’t See an Upside in Doing the Job We’re Supposed to do; Which is to Speak Truth to Power and Hold People to Account.”

Check out the video from Project Veritas below:

An ABC spokesperson issued a statement on the video, saying “any action that damages our reputation for fairness and impartiality or gives the appearance of compromising it harms ABC News and the individuals involved.

The news outlet has also confirmed David Wright will no longer be reporting on politics when he returns from his suspension.

Last year, ABC News was rocked with leaked footage from Project Veritas, which showed host Amy Robach admitting the network had information on Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein before such accusations were even viable. This revealed that network officials covered up a story implicating high profile individuals involved in child sex trafficking.

The last sting conducted by the Conservative watchdog group exposed staffers on Bernie’s campaign talking about mass violence and re-education for Trump supporters through the use of gulags.

In the past, Project Veritas has targeted organizations such as CNN, NPR, and the New York Times with undercover sting operations. The majority of the undercover operations from Project Veritas are pretty eventful, and end in serious consequences for the individuals exposed.
