Major League Baseball has been under intense pressure from Democrats to move the annual All-Star Game out of Atlanta over Georgia’s election integrity law and on Friday, the league caved.
On the second day of the 2021 season, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred sent a clear message to all MLB fans that his league takes its marching orders from activists and politicians.
According to a statement from the commish; “Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,” said Manfred. “I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft.”
The Atlanta Braves quickly issued their own statement delivering a tomahawk chop to the virtue-signaling commissioner.
According to the Braves’ press release:
“The Atlanta Braves are deeply disappointed by the decision of Major League Baseball to move its’ 2021 All-Star Game,” said the organization.”This was neither our decision, nor our recommendation and we are saddened that fans will not be able to see this event in our city. The Braves organization will continue to stress the importance of equal voting opportunities and we had hoped our city could use this event as a platform to enhance the discussion. Our city has always been known as a uniter in divided times and we will miss the opportunity to address issues that are important to our community.”
“Unfortunately, businesses, employees, and fans in Georgia are the victims of this decision,” the Braves added. “We will continue to support the community legacy projects which have been planned and are in the process.”

What goes unmentioned is that many of those who have been harmed economically will be people of color who worked in the industries that would have benefited most from the game being held in Atlanta.
There is no official word yet on whether The Master’s golf tournament will be forced to move out of its traditional setting at the picturesque Augusta National Golf Club where it has been held since 1934 and Biden hasn’t demanded it; at least not yet anyway.
This decision was pretty much a done deal after Joe Biden himself called for the game to be relocated as a part of the ongoing temper tantrum over Georgia’s efforts to address the blow to voter confidence after November’s debacle.
It’s another scalp on the trophy wall for the cancel culture mob that serves as shock troops for the radicalized Democratic party, a mob that only grows bolder with each and every cowardly corporate surrender, and Manfred’s fecklessness will have lasting consequences for his league.
The new location has yet to be announced.
