BREAKING: Disturbing New Immigration Developments Prove The Border Crisis Is Out Of Control

Several developments within the Biden administration have made it crystal clear the president and Democrats are not just content to return to the bad old days of lax border security and immigration enforcement, they want to put those failed policies on steroids.

Here’s a summary of various policies being proposed or implemented that are going to make a mockery of immigration enforcement while simultaneously harming American workers and endangering lives:

Cancellation of ‘Operation Talon’

President Biden has signed an executive order shutting down Operation Talon, which specifically targeted illegal alien sex offenders for incarceration or removal from the country.

“We rely on the federal government to assist our local and state law enforcement and remove those that are lurking in our communities that are sexual predators and that are preying on our most vulnerable,” Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody told Fox News on Saturday.

“And so, to have an administration, Joe Biden, cancel an operation that is focusing on sexual offenders in our country, as the attorney general of Florida certainly, but as a mother, it’s horrifying.”

“Fox & Friends” co-host Jedediah Bila asked, “Is there any reason you can see for why this operation would be removed or what the reasoning behind that would be?”

“Absolutely none. I was a former federal prosecutor. Effective, targeted operations cross administrations,” Moody responded. “These operations help agents do their jobs, especially for states like Florida that rely on federal agencies and law enforcement to help them remove these dangerous people from our communities. There is no reason this operation should be canceled.”

Getting rid of ICE via DHS policy

The far left has been calling for defunding the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency for years during the Trump administration. That hasn’t happened yet under the Biden administration, but it may not need to: DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas is touting a plan that would neuter the agency and remove it from its role of interdicting and removing illegal aliens from the U.S.

The Washington Times reported:

Mr. Mayorkas revealed his idea last week in a telephone meeting with agency personnel in Texas, according to several sources familiar with the conversation, who said he proposed taking members of the country’s 4,000-strong deportation force off the streets and converting them into criminal investigators.

“This is an administrative abolishment of ICE as we currently know it,” one source told The Washington Times.

Mayorkas’ plan envisions ‘promoting’ ICE enforcers to ‘agent’ — a higher GS pay rating. But it’s all smoke and mirrors.

“It’s all spin,” the source said. “We’re not going to abolish ICE, but we really are going to abolish ICE as you know it.”

Catch-and-release is back

An early executive order signed by Biden reinstates the so-called “catch-and-release” policy of yesteryear, forbidding Customs and Border Protection agents from holding illegal aliens for longer than 72 hours.

“CBP has seen a steady increase in border encounters since April 2020, which, aggravated by COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, has caused some facilities to reach maximum safe holding capacity,” CBP public affairs officer Rod Kise told Fox News.

“Per longstanding practice, when long-term holding solutions aren’t possible, some migrants will be processed for removal, provided a Notice to Appear, and released into the U.S. to await a future immigration hearing.”

Throw these policies in with Biden’s cancellation of border wall construction, and it’s easy to see how human and drug trafficking into the U.S. is going to get much worse again.
