In a time where political news is at its peak, the news aggregate website DrudgeReport.com saw a huge decline in website traffic.
Drudge used to be a place where conservatives could get information that the liberal media wasn’t discussing, but now it is nothing more than an Anti-Trump propaganda machine.
Drudge constantly features Pro-Biden stories while blistering Trump at every turn.
Well, it appears his strategy is costing him dearly. According to reports, his traffic fell a whopping 40% year over year. This has likely cost him millions in ad revenue.
Here’s the report from the NY Post:
The Drudge Report posted a 45 percent decline in web traffic in September as the site alienated its core readers by turning against President Trump ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
The data — derived from comScore, which tracks the industry — were released in a report by TheRighting, a website that analyzes traffic to right-leaning websites. TheRighting told The Post that the Drudge Report had 1,291,000 unique visitors in September, according to data supplied by comScore, down from 2,340,000 in the same month a year ago.
September’s eye-popping decline marks the ninth month in a row that the political news aggregation website run by reclusive founder Matt Drudge has seen traffic fall, TheRighting said.
For me personally, I used to refresh DrudgeReport at least 20+ times every single day to get the latest updates.
Now, I maybe visit the site 1-2 times per week just to see what the “dark side” is saying.
Apparently, many conservatives are doing the same exact thing.
