On Monday morning, White House advisor Stephen Miller told the hosts of Fox & Friends that an alternate slate of electors will vote for President Trump today and that they will send those results to congress.
Although the Electoral College is set to vote for Biden today, having an alternate slate of Electors cast votes for Trump is essential strategy to helping POTUS remain in the White House if they are victorious in their various court cases in key swing states.
Miller explained that this will ensure that legal complaints from the Trump team are taken seriously and that if they win, the “alternate slate of electors” can be certified.
“The only date in the constitution is Jan 20, so we have more than enough time to right the wrong of this fraudulent election result and certify Donald Trump as the winner of the election. As we speak today, an alternate slate of electors in the contested states are going to vote and we’re going to send those results up to congress. This will ensure that all of our legal remedies will remain open. That means that if we win these cases in the courts, that we can direct that the alternate slate of electors will be certified,” Miller said.
“The state legislatures in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania — can do the same, and likewise, Congress has that opportunity as well, to do the right thing,” he added. “If you just cured three simple constitutional defects, Donald Trump is the winner of this election.”
This goes to show that President Trump and his team is NOT giving up. This does not end today in the Electoral College. The fight goes on.
This is still a developing story. Stay tuned for more…
