BREAKING: Woman Who Sent Ricin To White House In U.S. Illegally from Canada

Police and federal agents believe they have found the person who allegedly mailed poisonous ricin to the White House in a letter addressed to President Donald Trump.

According to The Daily Wire, the suspect is a Canadian woman in the U.S. illegally. She is also suspected of having mailed the poison as revenge for being ‘targeted’ by federal immigration authorities in Texas in March 2019.

The New York Post has additional details:

The Canadian woman accused of sending a letter containing ricin to President Trump has been identified as Pascale Ferrier of Quebec, authorities said.

Ferrier was taken into custody Sunday by US Customs and Border Protection agents at the Peace Bridge border crossing near Buffalo, New York, where she is expected to appear in federal court to face charges.

She was supposed to appear in court Monday, but her appearance was delayed until Tuesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office, according to the CBC.

Ferrier had been living in the US last year and was arrested in Mission, Texas, in March 2019 for using a fake driver’s license, according to court records cited by the news outlet.

The Associated Press adds that also wrote a personal note to the president:

The envelope containing the toxic substance and the threatening letter was addressed to the White House but intercepted at a mail sorting facility on Friday. The package, postmarked from Canada, included a letter in which she referred to Trump as “The Ugly Tyrant Clown” and directed him to “give up and remove your application for this election,” according to an FBI affidavit filed in the case.

“So I made a ‘special gift’ for you to make a decision. This gift is in this letter,” she wrote, the affidavit said. “If it doesn’t work, I’ll find better recipe for another poison, or I might use my gun when I’ll be able to come.”

Working in conjunction with the FBI, on Monday the Royal Canadian Mounted Police conducted a search of a condo in Saint-Hubert on Montreal’s South Shore where they suspected the ricin-laced letters came from.

"We believe a total of six letters were sent — one to the White House and five to Texas," Police spokesman Cpl. Charles Poirier told reporters.

In actuality, the FBI said six letters have been discovered in Texas, all of them with similar qualities and which "contained similar language" as the letter to the president.

The reports noted that it isn’t clear whether or not Ferrier has a lawyer. What’s also not clear is whether a lawyer is really going to be able to do much for her.

There is an anti-Trump sickness out there and obviously it isn’t limited to Americans.
