Cali Gov Pardons Felons To Get Around Trump's Immigration Policies

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just went full socialist and declared a national state of emergency.

AOC and Sanders are teaming up and trying to garner support to declare a state of emergency over climate change, claiming that the world will end soon if something is not done immediately.

The resolution is nonbinding, meaning it is only symbolic and cannot be signed or passed into law.

It is nothing more than a publicly stunt.

Sanders said, "In some ways, and I know this sounds a little bit strange, I'm reminded today in terms of the crisis that we face in climate change about where the US was in 1941 when it was attacked at Pearl Harbor."

Sanders added, "And what happened at that point — having to fight a war on two fronts, in the East and in Europe — the US came together and within three years it had created the type of armaments program that was necessary, in fact, to win the war."

The joint resolution calls on the United States to join 16 other countries and hundreds of local governments in declaring a climate emergency.

Ocasio-Cortez told reporters on Tuesday that action "must be taken" and that there's no time to wait.

"This is a political crisis of inaction, and it's going to take political will and courage to treat this with the urgency that the next generation needs in order to preserve our way of life," AOC said.

She added: "We have less than 12 years to enact a global solution. This is a first step, and declaring a climate emergency is a good idea, this is what we need to do to start pursuing the plan we need."

Sanders followed-up by saying: "This is a moral imperative. There is no choice. We are going to have to take on the greed of the fossil fuel industry and the ignorance of Donald Trump."

This is the second time AOC and Sanders have teamed up to make a ridiculous proposal.

Earlier this year, the socialist duo joined forces to announce a push for Medicare for All, which countless experts argue would bankrupt the nation.

A study from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University found that the "Medicare for all" plan would increase government health care spending by $32.6 trillion bill over 10 years.

In order to pay for this, the federal government would have to impose unprecedented tax increases across the board, and even that may not be enough.

A second study from Vox.com revealed that the "Medicare for All" plan would cost the United States a jaw-dropping $218 trillion over the next 30 years.

The Vox study found that in order to pay for the socialist giveaways, the federal government would be forced to make dramatic cuts across the board in areas such as Defense spending to help pay for it all.

Every time AOC and Sanders unveil a new "idea," it could literally bankrupt the entire nation.
