Trump Gives Iconic Daytona 500 Command; 'Gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES'

President Trump absolutely killed it at the Daytona 500 in front of an adoring crowd that thrilled to an Air Force One flyover and chanted "USA! USA! USA!" as the POTUS called for drivers to start their engines.

In what will be a cherished memory for all in attendance, the leader of the free world came in low directly over Daytona International Speedway at approximately 800-feet as the crowd went wild.

After taking a lap of the track in the presidential limo nicknamed "The Beast" the commander in chief delivered patriotic remarks and honored Gold Star families before uttering the command to "start your engines" to the delight of the overflow crowd.

Watch here:

Trump is the second sitting president to be honored as the Daytona 500's grand marshal, President George W. Bush was the first back in 2004.

In an interesting bit of trivia, President Reagan was in attendance at the 1984 Firecracker 400 at the same venue and gave the "Start your engines" command by phone from Air Force One which had not yet landed.

NASCAR fans who are often lauded for the most patriotic in all of professional sports were given a rare treat today, especially the 100,000 + who are in attendance.

Trump 2020 campaign manager perhaps put it best with this awesome tweet:

@realDonaldTrump won the #Daytona500 before the race even started.

Ever the showman, President Trump has stolen the news cycle as well as the hearts of voters in Florida, the majority of which is Trump Country and liberals will once again be crying softly into their pillows tonight.
