If you are under the impression that the modern Democrat Party is an enabler for the worst human behaviors, understand that you have come to that conclusion honestly.
Tens of millions of Americans have sat back at watched the violence, the rioting, the looting, and the attacks on our fellow citizens and police officers all summer long. After all, what choice have many of us had? We’ve been locked down.
And if you watched any of the Democratic Party’s convention, you didn’t hear anyone – none of the people asked to address the event – speak out against that violence.
None of them defended police. They didn’t defend business owners who have lost their livelihoods. They didn’t defend the American citizens who have been attacked and beaten unconscious.
Rather, by their silence, they embraced the lawlessness. And why not? One of their speakers was convicted for a horrific crime.
Who is Donna Hylton, you ask?
According to the DNC’s speaker’s list, she’s a “criminal justice reform activist.”
But she’s rather more than that: She served 27 years in prison for her role in kidnapping, raping, torturing, and then murdering a 62-year-old real estate developer in New York City in the 1980s.
Notes Grant Baker at the American Thinker:
Before receiving accolades for her work as an “impactful community leader,” Donna Hylton and her gang of prostitutes had drugged real estate broker Thomas Vigliarolo, brought him to their Harlem apartment, and subjected him to a three week torture session which included starvation, beatings, burnings, and various forms of sexual torture leading to a gruesome murder. Hylton had raped Vigliarolo with a three-foot metal rod, later laughing it off, quipping “he was a homo anyway.” Hylton had demanded ransom from the victim’s friend, planning on spending her cut on professional photos to launch a career in modeling. She was paroled in 2012, having served 26 years in prison.
Psychology Today reported in a July 1995 piece on Hylton:
For the next 15 to 20 days (police aren’t sure just when [Thomas] Vigliarole died), the man was starved, burned, beaten, and tortured.
“I couldn’t believe this girl who was so intelligent and nice-looking could be so unemotional about what she was telling me she and her friends had done,” New York City Detective William Spurling told Psychology Today.
“They’d squeezed the victim’s testicles with a pair of pliers, beat him, burned him. Actually, I thought the judge’s sentence was lenient. Once a jailbird, always a jailbird.”
And now, Hylton has had a book deal and there’s a movie in the works, no doubt to celebrate her ‘wonderful life’ since the horrific torture, sexual assault, and murder of another human being.
Just imagine if Republicans have someone like this speak at their convention next week; the disgustingly dishonest and shameful ‘mainstream media’ would report it in spades and never once mention the name Donna Hylton.
But then, President Trump has too much class to let that happen.
