Democrats Begin Push For Defunding Of America's Police

Moving quickly to capitalize on the national unrest over the killing of George Floyd by a rogue cop, Democrats are rolling out an idea that would radically transform American law enforcement.
No longer is police reform enough for those who have spent years attacking police and comparing ICE agents to fascists and Nazis while coddling criminals and illegal aliens, now they want to do away with law enforcement entirely.
There is a concerted push to defund and dismantle police forces in favor of "community policing" which would effectively put law-abiding Americans at the mercy of thugs and local warlords as is the practice in third-world countries.
That such an insane idea is given any consideration is a sign of just how far gone that the left and the irreparably broken national media are and yet, it is an idea that has a serious chance of becoming a reality.

The movement to defund the police is gaining significant support across America, including from elected leaders, as protests over the killing of George Floyd sweep the nation.
For years, activists have pushed US cities and states to cut law enforcement budgets amid a dramatic rise in spending on police and prisons while funding for vital social services has shrunk or disappeared altogether.
Government officials have long dismissed the idea as a leftist fantasy, but the recent unrest and massive budget shortfalls from the Covid-19 crisis appear to have inspired more mainstream recognition of the central arguments behind defunding.
“To see legislators who aren’t even necessarily on the left supporting at least a significant decrease in New York police department [NYPD] funding is really very encouraging,” Julia Salazar, a New York state senator and Democratic socialist, told the Guardian on Tuesday. “It feels a little bit surreal.”
Floyd’s death on camera in Minneapolis, advocates say, was a powerful demonstration that police reform efforts of the last half-decade have failed to stop racist policing and killings. Meanwhile, the striking visuals of enormous, militarized and at times violent police forces responding to peaceful protests have led some politicians to question whether police really need this much money and firepower.
On Thursday, 2020 Democrat runner-up Bernie Sanders came out in support of stripping funding from police departments which he called for on Twitter.
Sanders was joined by the national press secretary for Hillary Clinton's doomed 2016 campaign as the party's establishment comes closer to adding anarchy as a plank to its 2020 platform.
Fallon also served in the Obama-Biden administration as the spokesman for the Justice Department, a fact that former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell was quick to point out.
The first city to move forward with this vision of the Democrats' idealistic future will be Minneapolis where city council members have crawled out of the smoldering rubble to begin the process of the eventual disbanding of the police.
For those who are living in cities controlled by Democrats who have no opposition to their plans, you may want to seriously consider putting together an exit strategy and to do so quickly.
Perhaps the one positive thing about the plague of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has infected tens of millions is that it has flushed these vicious anti-American extremists out of hiding.
