Democrats vote down measure to deny illegal aliens coronavirus relief funds

Democrats continue to prove they are far more interested in pandering to people who are not supposed to be in our country than they are American citizens, as evidenced anew on Friday.
Nearly all Democrats in the House voted against a measure Friday aimed at denying taxpayer-funded coronavirus relief money to illegal immigrants, but they made sure to include lots of goodies in the massive $3 trillion bill for other ‘priorities’ (Hint: One of them rhymes with ‘not’ and many people smoke it).
Technically, the measure Democrats voted down would have barred anyone without a Social Security number from getting a new coronavirus relief check. And while some illegal aliens pay taxes using an ID number obtained from the government, they are not eligible for Special Security because, again, they’re not citizens.
All Republicans present, meanwhile, voted in favor of the bill and so 13 Democrats, most of whom are freshmen facing tough reelections in the fall. One-time RINO and #NeverTrumper Justin Amash of Michigan voted with Democrats.
The measure was offered by Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-Va.), who said it was because the $3 trillion relief bill contained a provision that would change the ID requirement for government payouts from Social Security numbers to taxpayer identification numbers, the latter of which are obtained by illegal aliens working inside the country…illegally.
“This switch will let illegal immigrants and non-citizens get checks they aren’t eligible for,” he said, according to The Epoch Times. “Now, more than ever, we need to make sure these rebate checks go to Americans who need it.”
Yup. But Democrats don’t agree.
Rep. Nita Lowey of New York accused Republicans of “standing in the way of helping people,” but again, the massive bill wasn’t aimed strictly at “helping” Americans.
And to prove that, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) used an iron fist and absolute control to craft the monstrosity — the most expensive spending bill ever passed in Congress.
“Pelosi took no public comment, no Republican input, and didn’t consult with the Republican-controlled Senate or the White House on the bill,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) observed in a column for Fox News.
Later, he tweeted, “How do you explain a House Democratic Party so crazy that their new $3 trillion proposal has 68 references to Cannabis and only 52 references to jobs? Maybe Speaker Pelosi of San Francisco believes ‘California Dreamin’ could become the new national anthem.”
Hence the above hint.
Gingrich ticked off the craziest parts of the bill. It would:
Provide money to people in the country illegally.
Allow illegal immigrants to work when more than 30 million Americans are out of work.
Provide taxpayer funding for abortion, even though Americans oppose taxpayer funding for abortions by 55 percent to 29 percent.
Block voter identification laws – even though 80 percent of Americans favor such laws.
Give state and local governments, which already collect your tax dollars, $1 trillion more of your tax dollars.
Give a tax cut to the richest Americans in blue states.
Impose a host of other liberal fantasies on Americans.
Democrats couldn’t care less about Americans, which is obvious judging by their political priorities.
