Dems Demand That Mitch McConnell Recuse Himself From Senate Trial


On the week before Christmas, Democrats will vote to impeach President Trump on bogus charges and send their scam to the Senate where it will be quickly disposed of like the garbage that it is. 

Now that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has slammed the door on any possibility of the removal of the legitimately elected president from office, the sore losers are throwing one of their trademark temper tantrums.

A great cry of despair has erupted over McConnell's admission that he is working with the lawyers of the innocent man who the left wants to string up and howls of outrage are demanding that he recuse himself from the trial. 

The demand for McConnell to step down came from Rep. Val Demings, an irrelevant back-bencher from Orlando who now gets the star treatment from the media as the resistance hero of the week.

Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.) on Friday called on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to recuse himself from the Senate impeachment trial, citing the GOP leader's remarks the previous night about coordinating with the White House.

McConnell said during an interview on Fox News on Thursday night that “everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with the White House counsel. There will be no difference between the president’s position and our position as to how to handle this to the extent that we can.”

Demings accused the GOP leader of promising to "sabotage" the trial.

"No court in the country would allow a member of the jury to also serve as the accused’s defense attorney. The moment Senator McConnell takes the oath of impartiality required by the Constitution, he will be in violation of that oath," she said in a statement.

Demings, who sits on the House Intelligence and Judiciary panels that have led the impeachment inquiry, pointed to Article 1, Section 3 of the Constitution. The section states: “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation.”

Like the spoiled mall brat whose parents give in to noisy tantrums, Democrats believe that they will be able to get their way just like the did after spineless former attorney general Jeff Sessions caved to their demands and recused himself from all things Russia.

Don't expect McConnell to do likewise as he isn't going to allow the #shampeachment to gain any traction in the Senate where it will die a swift and merciful death. 

But once again, the Democrats also prove how hypocrisy is the coin of the realm within their toxic bubbles. 

In an inconvenient bit of truth and after the media promoted his false claims to the contrary, former Democrat Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle fessed up that when Bill Clinton was impeached, that he did exactly the same thing. 

If they didn't have double standards, Democrats would have no standards at all. 

Despite the looming failure of their bogus efforts to nullify 63 million votes, reverse the 2016 election and knock Trump out of the running before he cleans their clocks next November, Democrats are determined to spoil the holidays with their futile and stupid impeachment. 

But they can whine about it and will continue to do so until voters kick them out of office.
