DHS Chief Says 'Criminal Mobs' Taking Over U.S. Cities as Violence Spikes and Cops are Neutered

Demonstrations and protests over the death of George Floyd have long since been hijacked by Left-wing extremists, foreign and domestic, to push for a full-blown cultural revolution in America.
U.S. Attorney General William Barr all but admitted as much during a press conference in early June, when he said the Justice Department had evidence that a “witches’ brew” of groups inside and outside the country were using the Floyd death as an excuse to attack American liberties and our republican form of government.
“We have evidence that Antifa and other similar extremist groups, as well as actors of a variety of different political persuasions, have been involved in instigating and participating in the violent activity,” Barr said June 4 during a press conference. “There are some groups that don’t have a particular ideology, other than anarchy.”
Barr mentioned Antifa on the Left and the Boogaloos on the Right who want to bring about “civil war.”
But whichever groups are involved, what is very, very clear at this point is that the rule of law has completely broken down in parts of major American cities that have all but been taken over by “criminal mobs,” according to Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf.
“From my perspective, this is no longer about peaceful protesting, this is about angry, violent, criminal mobs taking over certain cities,” Wolf the “Fox & Friends” morning program Monday, adding: “It’s very disturbing. It’s a lack of political leadership in that city.”
Violence is spiking in Chicago, New York City, and other cities amid efforts to slash funding for police departments and ongoing protests and riots ostensibly sparked by the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in policy custody in Minneapolis on Memorial Day.
Twenty-three people were shot in Atlanta, three fatally, on July 4, police officials said. At least 79 people were shot, with 15 dying, in Chicago over the holiday weekend, and 21 shootings took place in a nine-hour span of time in New York City on Sunday. Twenty-eight others were shot in Philadelphia over the weekend.
At the same time, the goofball Democrats who run some of these cities have been demonizing and abandoning their own police departments, voting to defund or cut funding to departments as the crime wave and the violence are building.
Wolf said moves to defund cops, along with efforts to throw them under the bus if they defend themselves with deadly force, are contributing to the rise in violence.
And the DHS chief said that it won’t take much for the federal government to step in and restore law and order – but the administration has to be asked first.
“We can come in, as we did in D.C. last month, where we restored that law and order back to the city, stopped churches from being burned. We do have the ability to do this, we just need to be invited and have those state and local authorities ask for the federal government’s help,” Wolf said.
“This is about law and order. And the president’s been very clear, we’re there to help them. I think any city that is having increases in violence, it’s burning, is having the rooting, the looting, it’s by choice at this point,” he said. “But the president’s been doing everything on our part from the federal side and saying that this is unacceptable and it’s time for these Democrat governors and mayors to step up.”
Yes, it is, and it’s time for residents of these besieged liberal enclaves to wise up and elect a different party. Like maybe Republicans, because they know how to do 'law and order.
