Eric Swalwell Warns that New Impeachment Charges May Be Coming

On Wednesday, radical Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell told CNN host Jake Tapper that the House was thinking about impeaching President Trump again for tweeting that Roger Stone's prison sentence recommendation was too extreme.
“Might you impeach him over this, over Roger Stone and the sentencing?” Tapper asked.
“We’re not going to take our options off table,” Swalwell responded. “We don’t wake up in the morning wanting to impeach him. We want to work with him on prescription drugs, background checks and infrastructure. But we’re not going to let him just torch this democracy because he thinks that he’s been let off once and we’re not going to do something about it.”

Shortly after prosecutors with the Department of Justice recommended a ridiculous prison sentence of nine years for Stone, President Trump spoke out, defending Stone against the wild sentence.
Later on, the Department of Justice announced that they would be reducing the "excessive and unwarranted" sentence which was recommended by their prosecutors.
Now, Democrats like Swalwell want to investigate President Trump for engaging in "political interference" for a tweet.
“By tweet [President Trump] engaged in political interference in the sentencing of Roger Stone,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted. “It is outrageous that DOJ has deeply damaged the rule of law by withdrawing its recommendation. Stepping down of prosecutors should be commended & actions of DOJ should be investigated.”
Check out what the Daily Wire reported:
Pelosi isn’t the only Democratic leader calling for an investigation into Trump’s tweets. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is also demanding action over the Justice Department’s intervention, as reported by The Associated Press, while the man who helmed the impeachment inquiry, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), is decrying the DOJ’s move as evidence of Trump trying to “cover up his own misconduct.”
The Justice Department intervening “would send an unmistakable message that President Trump will protect those who lie to Congress to cover up his own misconduct, and that the Attorney General will join him in that effort,” said Schiff.
On Tuesday, President Trump fired back at Democrats while speaking to reporters. “I have the absolute right to do it," he said.
“I stay out of things to a degree that people wouldn’t believe, but I didn’t speak to them,” he also noted.
According to the Justice Department, they had already decided that they were going to reduce the recommended sentencing of Roger Stone on Monday night before President Trump had made any tweets.
On Tuesday morning, President Trump released a series of tweets, shredding the Department of Justice for their bogus sentence recommendation.
“This is a horrible and very unfair situation,” President Trump tweeted. “The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”
“All starting to unravel with the ridiculous 9 year sentence recommendation!” the president later tweeted once it was announced that the Department of Justice would reduce the wild nine year sentence.
“And a swamp creature with ‘pull’ was just sentenced to two months in jail for a similar thing that they want Stone to serve 9 years for. A phony Mueller Witch Hunt disgrace. Caught!” President Trump also tweeted.
“Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought,” he later followed up. “Evidence now clearly shows that the Mueller Scam was improperly brought & tainted. Even Bob Mueller lied to Congress!”
“Two months in jail for a Swamp Creature, yet 9 years recommended for Roger Stone (who was not even working for the Trump Campaign),” he added. “Gee, that sounds very fair! Rogue prosecutors maybe? The Swamp!”
