Forgetting Something? House Agenda Memo Makes No Mention Of Impeachment

House Democrats returned to Washington this week after their latest taxpayer-funded extended vacation but seem to have forgotten something.

And that something is impeachment which is strangely absent from the 2020 agenda for the House Of Representatives.

The party was hellbent at impeaching President Trump on bogus charges just in time to poison Christmas but has been less than enthusiastic about the next phase where their sham will all but certainly die a quick death in the Senate.

VOTE NOW: Do you OPPOSE or SUPPORT impeachment?

By early indications, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's decision to rush to impeach and then to incredibly sit on the two articles rather than do her constitutional duty has the look of yet another monumental strategic blunder.

Which may be a reason why any mention of impeachment is missing from Dem House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's welcome back memo to his fellow travelers.

Via Fox News, "Dem leader makes no mention of impeachment in House agenda memo":

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer welcomed fellow lawmakers back to Washington after their holiday recess with a memo setting the stage for a "busy 2020" agenda but seems to have forgotten something: impeachment.

“I hope you are ready for a busy 2020,” Hoyer, D-Md., wrote in a memo to colleagues on Jan. 3. Hoyer went on to describe legislation the House will consider as they return Tuesday including a chemical regulation measure, four bills focused on the expansion of 5G telecommunications systems, and a congressional review resolution to disapprove the Department of Education’s Borrower Defense to Repayment Rule.

“As we begin the second session of the 116th Congress next week, House Democrats remain committed to passing legislation and holding committee hearings that advance our ‘For the People’ agenda: Lowering health care costs and prescription drug prices, increasing pay through economic growth by rebuilding America, and cleaning up corruption to make Washington work,” Hoyer wrote.

The lack of urgency to push impeachment as a key part of their 'For The People' agenda is a sign that Dems are starting to get jittery about blowback from voters in November - especially outside of the coastal enclaves of the coastal elite and the Chicagoland area.

Blinded by hatred for Trump and a burning craving for revenge over the 2016 election, Dems have ignored all of the signs that real Americans are more interested in matters that actually affect their daily lives and the futures of their children.

Democrats have ignored kitchen table issues, fixing the broken health insurance system, the economy, curtailing illegal immigration, the opioid addiction crisis, Silicon Valley tech monopolies and homelessness, crime and squalor in many of their own districts to work full time on sticking it to Trump.

Another of their top - although not openly stated - priorities is the disenfranchisement of the 63 million Americans who voted for Trump that their impeachment charade would nullify.

Those 63 million and more have no voice and no power because Democrats and their smarmy celebrity mouthpieces couldn't give a damn about them.

But they will have their day and that day could spell the end of the Democratic party come November 3rd.

Who would have ever predicted that impeachment would blow up in their faces?
