Residents in the state of Kansas showed up to the polls on Tuesday to make their voices heard on a pro-life amendment, voting to reject it in what is the first test of voter sentiment since the overturning of Roe v. Wade after the court decided that there isn’t a Constitutional right to abortion, thus turning the regulation of the issue back to the states.
This is proof that there is much more work for the pro-life movement to do when it comes to stopping the murder of unborn children, as we need to shift focus to winning hearts and minds along with working toward passing laws to protect the pre-born.
Our battle is one of truth versus lie, good versus evil, and the weapons of our warfare, as the Bible clearly states in 2 Corinthians 10:4, are not flesh and blood, but is truth made mighty by God to defeat all of the strongholds — lies and false narratives — being pushed out into the world.
The Value Them Both amendment, according to The Daily Wire, was defeated by 17 percentage points, which blocks Kansas from being able to pull out the “right” to abortion that is mentioned in the state’s constitution.
Again, it is vital to note that this is a war of ideas that has real world consequences. Lives are literally at stake here. That means we do not have the luxury of being discouraged. We must continue to work toward the goal of ending abortion in all 50 states. That means when we get pushback, we, ourselves “push back” even harder.
We seek ways to share the truth about about abortion being murder and ministering to women who are pregnant, scared, and without hope. Now is not the time to be defeated, but to gear back up and enter the fray once again.

The report revealed that President Joe Biden was thrilled by the defeat of the amendment.
“This vote makes clear what we know: the majority of Americans agree that women should have access to abortion and should have the right to make their own health care decisions,” he went on to say, according to a report published by The Associated Press.
“Mallory Carroll, a spokeswoman for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, called the loss a ‘huge disappointment’ and blasted abortion advocates for drowning out the ‘truth’ with “lies,'” the report stated.
“Tonight’s loss is a huge disappointment for pro-life Kansans and Americans nationwide,” Carroll commented. “The abortion lobby’s message to voters was rife with lies that ultimately drowned out the truth. Because of tonight’s results, Kansas could shortly become home to unrestricted abortion on demand — even late-term abortion without limits, paid for by taxpayers. The people and their elected legislators now have no recourse to use the tools of democracy to enact laws that reflect consensus.”
“The stakes for the pro-life movement in the upcoming midterm elections could not be higher, and there will be many more factors in play,” she continued. “It is critical that pro-life candidates go on offense to expose the extremism of Democrats’ policy goals for nationalized abortion on demand paid for by taxpayers.”
A statement put out by the group stated that the pro-life amendment would have “corrected an overreach by the Kansas Supreme Court that, in 2019, found an alleged right to abortion in the state constitution and struck down a law passed by the state legislature to limit painful dismemberment abortions.”
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action, also made allegations that the abortion lobby employed a strategy to confuse voters.
“We are disappointed Kansans couldn’t see past the big money that flooded the state, confusing voters about an abortion-neutral amendment that would give them the freedom to vote on abortion policy,” Hawkins went on to say in a statement. “We are ready to get back to work educating people on the ways they can protect the preborn and their mothers in Kansas, despite the obstacles. We don’t think it will take 50 years to protect life in law in Kansas, but we never gave up on overturning Roe, and we’re not going to give up now.”
Keep fighting the good fight, folks.
