Hillary Trashes Bernie And His Followers, Walks It Back After Damage Has Been Done

While the dismal collection of 2020 Democrats limp into what promises to be a bruising primary battle, a well-rested Hillary Clinton is biding her time and waiting for an opening.

The ultimate sore loser has surfaced in a series of media appearances to promote the new Hulu documentary on her life and drew the ire of Bernie Sanders loyal band of revolutionaries with uncomplimentary comments.

As a woman who nurtures grudges like few others, Mrs. Clinton is clearly still pissed off that it took the geriatric socialist so long to knuckle under and fall in line behind her in 2016.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hillary laid into the socialist codger as well as the radicals who support him, accusing them of unfair treatment toward women which she blamed on the culture of his movement.

The comments underscore her lingering animosity toward Sanders who in the series she ripped as a phony career politician who nobody likes or wants to work with.

According to THR, "Hillary Clinton in Full: A Fiery New Documentary, Trump Regrets and Harsh Words for Bernie: "Nobody Likes Him":

In the doc, you're brutally honest on Sanders: "He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It's all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it." That assessment still hold?

Yes, it does.

If he gets the nomination, will you endorse and campaign for him?

I'm not going to go there yet. We're still in a very vigorous primary season. I will say, however, that it's not only him, it's the culture around him. It's his leadership team. It's his prominent supporters. It's his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women. And I really hope people are paying attention to that because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [he] seems to really be very much supporting it.

Clinton's skewering of Bernie and his 'prominent supporters' come the week after an ugly feud between Sanders and Elizabeth Warren erupted just before the CNN debate when "Pocahontas" accused him of saying that a woman couldn't win the election in a private meeting.

Hillary's remarks were ripped by those who blasted her for criticism that may weaken whoever emerges to face President Trump in November.

She then walked it back but not before the damage was done and just like that, the civil war that will splinter the Democratic party got a bit closer.

According to Hillary:

"I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views!"

"But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee."

But what Mrs. Clinton left out when she promised to support the nominee is that if she gets her way, the nominee is going to be her.

Look for a contested convention this summer in Milwaukee with Hillary swooping in to "rescue" the party from Bernie and the socialists and to wrangle enough superdelegates to set up a steel cage rematch with Trump who is possibly the only man who she hates more than Sanders.
