Iran Admits It Shot Down Plane, Joins Democrats In Blaming Trump

In an abrupt reversal, the Iranian regime is now admitting that it "accidentally" shot down a Ukrainian airliner during a missile attack on U.S. troops in Iraq last week.
On Saturday, the Islamic republic acknowledged that 176 innocent people were killed due to a 'disastrous mistake' by the Iranian military.
The missile attack was a reprisal for the drone that took out evil terrorist mastermind General Qasem Soleimani, a decapitation strike that shook Tehran and sent mobs into the street to chant "death to America" while burning U.S. flags in protest.
The admission proves that President Trump was correct when he blamed the downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 on a "mistake" by Iran and was joined by other world leaders including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Iran said on Saturday its military had mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian plane killing all 176 aboard, saying air defences were fired in error while on alert in the tense aftermath of Iranian missile strikes on U.S. targets in Iraq.
Iran had denied for days after Wednesday’s crash that it brought down the plane, although a top Revolutionary Guards commander said on Saturday that he had informed the authorities about the unintentional missile strike the same day it happened.
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who until Saturday had kept silent about the crash, said information should be made public, while top officials and the military issued apologies.
But state television suggested revealing the truth about what happened might be used by “enemies of Iran”, usually a reference to the United States and Israel.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran deeply regrets this disastrous mistake,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wrote on Twitter, promising that those behind the incident would be prosecuted. “My thoughts and prayers go to all the mourning families.”
While admitting that they were the culprits in the shootdown, Iranian officials were quick to join Democrats in blaming it all on Trump.
According to foreign minister Javad Zarif:
A sad day. Preliminary conclusions of internal investigation by Armed Forces:
Human error at time of crisis caused by US adventurism led to disaster
Our profound regrets, apologies and condolences to our people, to the families of all victims, and to other affected nations.
Zarif's comments are practically indistinguishable from the America-hating socialists who have been acting as mouthpieces for the Iranian ministry of propaganda.
How unhinged are the Democrats? Even the Trump-hating Washington Post didn't go there.
According to The WAPO, "It’s easy to blame Trump. But the Iran plane disaster isn’t his fault":
But, even considering Trump’s dubious foreign policy record and the Soleimani assassination, laying even partial blame on the U.S. president for a crime (or accident) that Iran apparently committed doesn’t meet the minimum requirements of fairness or logic.
The ayatollahs are terrified of President Trump and understand that the days of Obama's appeasement are over but know that they have a reliable fifth column in America that will do their dirty work for them.
