Americans had better get used to being forced to permanently wear face masks if Dr. Anthony Fauci has anything to say about it.
Basking in the glow of his triumph after Joe Biden was installed into the White House, the career bureaucrat has been on a whirlwind media tour since the inauguration. On Monday, the old doomsayer really outdid himself.
In an interview with host Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s Today Show, Fauci is now calling for Americans to wear TWO face masks.
Fauci’s suggestion will soon be picked and amplified up by a media that worships him like the leader of a cult and likely by the Biden administration.

Could wearing two face masks at once during the pandemic provide more protection than just wearing one? According to White House advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, “it likely does,” he told NBC News’ TODAY on Monday.
As Fauci explained, masks are physical coverings that prevent respiratory droplets from spreading to other people and provide a degree of protection to the wearer.
“So if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective,” Fauci told TODAY. “That’s the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an N95.”
Although the Centers for Disease Control has not recommended double masking yet, the practice generated buzz when people were seen wearing two masks at president Joe Biden’s inauguration Wednesday. Viewers noted that poet Amanda Gorman and Pete Buttigieg, who is Biden’s nominee to run the Transportation Department, wore surgical masks underneath cloth masks.
As with so many other things related to COVID, Dr. Fauci has contradicted himself with the masks, and last March he went on “60 Minutes” stated that there was no reason for Americans to be walking around with masks in the early days of the outbreak.
I'm old enough to remember when Dr. Fauci went on 60 Minutes in March 2020 and said, "Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks. … There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask." https://t.co/CpBukP9gFBpic.twitter.com/T9xOCXHeSm

Biden has already issued a 100-day “mask challenge” while asserting that submitting to the tyranny of the mask is not a partisan issue and is the patriotic duty of all Americans.
The nation’s new POTUS also made wearing a mask mandatory on all federal property, a decree which he immediately violated during an unmasked visit to the Lincoln Memorial with the first family.
It's been 25 hours since Joe Biden was sworn in as America's 46th President, and we've seen authoritarianism at its worst.

Fauci became a hero of the resistance for his frequent contradictions of then-president Donald J. Trump and became so essential to the establishment’s crusade against the hated Beltway outsider that D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser canceled Christmas Eve in favor of Dr. Anthony S. Fauci Day.
After decades of heading up the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci has never had it so good and thanks to his celebrity superstardom he never wants to see the coronavirus go away.
