Maria Bartiromo: “There Is Speculation – That Adam Schiff Met with Whistleblower DIRECTLY”

United States Representative John Ratcliffe joined Fox News show host Maria Bartiromo's on Sunday morning to discuss the fallout relating to Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff and the now infamous whistleblower.

Rep. Ratcliffe asserted that it was necessary to but Schiff under oath considering he has lied about his connections to the whistleblower many times.

"What I can tell you is, I promise you, that the inspector general’s testimony on Friday will shock you with respect to his investigation into the contacts between Adam Schiff and his staff and the intelligence committee and the whistleblower," he started. "And when you see the transcript and see what investigation was performed you see any fair person is going to agree with me that Adam Schiff is a material witness. His staff are material witnesses and the only way we can get good answers is to put them under oath about the type of contact, the extent at which they had with the whistleblower. Bottom line is Adam Schiff is a material fact witness in the investigation. He shouldn’t be running the investigation."

"So do we know that he met with the whistleblower?" Bartiromo asked. "Initially he said we haven’t spoken to the whistleblowwer, we want to speak to the whistleblower. But then we learned after the fact that his staff has met with him. And there is speculation this morning that Adam Schiff met with the whistleblower directly. Can you confirm that?"

From the look on Ratcliffe's face, it seemed to be a 'yes.'

Schiff has been in the hot seat after the New York Times dropped a bombshell report which revealed that he knew about the CIA 'whistleblower's' allegations against President Trump well before the complaint was even made.

“The early account by the future whistle-blower … explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it,” The New York Times reported. “Before going to Congress, the C.I.A. officer had a colleague convey his accusations to the agency’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that avenue for airing his allegations was unfolding, the officer then approached a House Intelligence Committee aide, alerting him to the accusation against Mr. Trump. ”

The Times continues by explaining how the House staff member told Schiff that the whistleblower had allegations against President Trump.

“The whistle-blower’s decision to offer what amounted to an early warning to the intelligence committee’s Democrats is also sure to thrust Mr. Schiff even more forcefully into the center of the controversy,” the Times continued. “By the time the whistle-blower filed his complaint, Mr. Schiff and his staff knew at least vaguely what it contained.”

Schiff has straight up denied having contact with the whistleblower, however this has been found to be untrue. So untrue that the Washington Post is even calling him out.

“This is flat-out false,” said the Post’s Glenn Kessler while responding to Schiff's claim that he nor his staff had talked to the whistleblower. “Unlike the quick two-step dance he performed with Anderson Cooper, Schiff simply says the committee had not spoken to the whistleblower. Now we know that’s not true.”
