Rep. Maxine Waters — the California Democrat who is one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal and prominent haters — can’t shake her Trump Derangement Syndrome.
In a series of unhinged tweets, the California Democrat went on a tirade against Attorney General William Barr and all of “Trump’s criminal friends.”
Waters tweeted Tuesday that she doesn’t just want the attorney general to resign, she wants him disbarred, humiliated and incarcerated because “They ALL belong in jail!”:
“It’s not enough for Barr to resign. I want him out of DOJ, disbarred, disgraced, & investigated for obstruction of justice. Barr sabotaged Mueller report, was in on Ukraine plot, & now he wants to free Trump’s criminal friends. In my estimation, they ALL belong in jail!”
Waters then called Senate Republicans pathetic “cowards” for not convicting Trump in his impeachment trial – and declared that “It’s rumored that he has mafia associations”:
“Trump using AG Barr to get his criminal friends out of jail is the tip of the iceberg. I’ll say it again: Trump will pardon Flynn, Manafort, & Stone b/c the GOP cowards in the Sen bowed to his feet. Repubs now stand for crime, corruption, autocracy, & Russia! They are PATHETIC!”
“The opposition is growing & fed judges decided Trump & Barr’s interference in the Stone case warrants emergency meeting tomorrow to talk about the danger to our country. The judges know what Barr did is not ordinary. Stay tuned for meeting & whether the judges release an opinion!”
“More than 2000 former DOJ officials courageously organized letter explaining why Barr’s interference in Roger Stone’s sentencing is dangerous & a threat to our democracy. Trump doesn’t seem to care that it’s rumored he has mafia associations, but he sure acts like a mafia boss!”
This is the second time this month Waters went berserk over Trump.
During an interview last Sunday morning on MSNBC, the California Democrat lost her mind after being asked about Trump firing Ambassador Gordon Sondland and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who testified against Trump during House Democrats’ impeachment hearings.
But Waters strangely made the conversation about race and bizarrely accused the president of having “no respect for people of color.”
“This president defined himself a long time ago. I am not surprised at anything that he would do. He has no respect for his colleagues, no respect for the Constitution, no respect for people of color, and so the firing is typical of what this president is all about,” Waters shouted.
“He basically told us what he’s capable of. And this is not the end of it. Do you think this is something? Watch what he’s going to continue to do. We have a dishonorable president not capable of being the president of the United States, representing and caring for all the people and the security of this country. And so we’re in for it. We’re in for this president and actions such as this and more that’s going to go on, and his campaign is going to help pay for him being even more ridiculous. So again, I’m not surprised. It’s almost as if I want to say I told you so,” she added.
Waters really lost her mind after that.
She added, “I’m also worried about he’s going to be even more divisive than he’s been. He said, and he warned us that if he did not get elected, that there was going to be a race riot. I mean, he basically said it in so many words. So that’s a bad, bad leadership action that he’s already taken, where he’s predicting that all that he’s doing will cause people to turn on each other and it would be a race riot if he’s not —what more do we want from this president? You know, yes, he went through the impeachment process. We impeached him in the House. The Senate didn’t have the nerve, the guts, didn’t have the responsibility as patriots to do what needed to be done and to not support this president. And now they’re talking about. They ask him not to fire Vindman and not to fire Sondland? Give me a break.”
For starters, Trump firing two officials has nothing to do with race.
Secondly, Sondland and Vindman played a key role in the ginned-up case that Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine in exchange for an investigation of the Bidens.
Trump has every right to hire and fire officials in his administration. The president can and should have people he trusts on his staff.
