Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is warming up for the Iowa caucuses by insulting tens of millions of Americans by suggesting that they are racists.
On the morning before Iowans go to the polls to cast their votes in the all-important Hawkeye State caucuses, Mayor Pete was slurping up the attention on the Sunday morning shows despite having no hope of winning.
Out of all of the Democrats who have contended for the nomination, few have been more openly nasty than Buttigieg who hides behind his purported Christianity to attack conservative Christians and gets a pass for his mendacity and race-baiting because he is gay.
On Sunday, he was at it again during an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State Of The Union” where South Bend’s absentee mayor doubled own on his smearing of 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump as racists.
When pushed by Tapper over the disgusting sentiment that he previously expressed, the candidate who some believe bears a striking resemblance to cartoon character Alfred E. Neuman did not back off even one inch.
According to Mayor Pete:
TAPPER: But Republicans have been seizing, including in a new Trump ad on a statement you made saying quote “anyone who supported this president is at best looking the other way on racism. You’ve also said that on my show… that’s almost 63 million Americans who you’re painting with a pretty broad brush…do you regret saying that at all?
BUTTIGIEG: No. I’m very concerned about the racial division that this president has fostered and uh… I’m meeting a lot of voters who are no longer willing to look the other way on that…
The networks are making a big last-minute push on Buttigieg’s behalf as he was all over the tube this morning only days after a complaint from his campaign pressured the Des Moines Register into yanking its traditional pre-caucus poll because Mayor Pete and his team griping about it being unfair.
Buttigieg made his inflammatory remarks during a December swing through South Carolina where he was trolling for black votes that he hopes to harvest when the Palmetto State holds its primary later this month.
Now that the impeachment dream is over for the time being, Democrats will have to go back to plan A which will be a scorched earth strategy to foment racial unrest with their lies and fear-mongering in the hope that they don’t lose more of the critical black vote to President Trump than they already have.
Unfortunately for Mayor Pete, he is cooked when it comes to black voters who he has been unable to appeal to regardless of his despicable slander of Trump voters.
Even his own constituents in South Bend distrust him as was evident by their reaction after a black South Bend man was shot by police this summer and Buttigieg came under fire.
There is little that actually qualifies Mayor Pete for the presidency outside of the fact that he’d be the first openly gay POTUS which certainly nails down the media and celebrity votes but running the country is a far cry from fixing potholes in a smallish middle-American college town.
Mayor Buttigieg is a truly nasty piece of work who hides behind his boyish small town charm and military service to routinely denounce Christians with his sanctimonious lectures and judgmental jabs.
While it is highly unlikely that he can win the nomination, he would be at the top of Hillary’s list for VP if and when she swoops in to “rescue” the party at the convention this summer.
