As much as he prides himself as a liberal deep thinker, Michael Moore is really no more than just another left-wing hack who likes to view himself as smarter than everyone else, especially his conservative detractors.
The documentarian really stepped in it on Tuesday, though, with a comment he made about the Boulder, Colo., shooter who shot and killed 10 people at a supermarket, including a veteran police officer.
In a post with a picture of the Statue of Liberty, more wrote of the shooting suspect, identified as Syrian-born immigrant Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa: “The life of Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa shows that people can come from all over the world and truly assimilate into our beloved American culture.”

It didn’t take long for the backlash to begin.
“Did you really tweet this? We allowed him refuge in our country & he repaid us by murdering our own people. This is most heartless tweet I’ve seen in a long time,” conservative activist Scott Pressler wrote.
Did you really tweet this?
We allowed him refuge in our country & he repaid us by murdering our own people.
This is most heartless tweet I’ve seen in a long time.

“He murdered 10 Americans. That is the opposite of assimilation. #AimHigher you missed the mark on this post,” the Code of Vets account noted.

Now, of course, in the few days since the horrific murders, we’ve learned some about Al-Issa. For instance, he appears to be a devout Muslim who often ranted about “racist islamophobic people” on social media.
He didn’t care very much for former President Donald Trump or Trump’s legions of supporters.
He didn’t have a girlfriend but wanted one, and he has been described by friends and family as delusional and paranoid.
Oh, and it appears as though the FBI was aware of this guy (but didn’t think he was a threat, apparently).
The Times reported that “the victim’s identity was previously known to the F.B.I. because he was linked to another individual under investigation by the bureau.”
21-year-old Muslim Ahmad Al Aliwi Al-Issa walked into walked into the King Soopers store and opened fire, killing 10 victims including one police officer. The victims were all white and the assailant was a Syrian born refugee who had been radicalized while in the United States. Despite these facts, the media rushed to blame “white terrorism.”
While examining his previous social media posts, it has been found that Al-Issa had a contempt for white Americans, Trump, and his perception of racism in America.
Meanwhile, as Moore took the prize for ‘worst tweet ever taking political advantage of a tragedy,’ others on the left reacted much more predictably: ‘More gun control.’
Some things never change.
