Another fun-filled day as head scratching and frustration plague New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams as six more buses of migrants arrive in the self-proclaimed “sanctuary city” on Sunday.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Mayor Adams remarked that he believes this is a message to the entire country, again expressing his concern for the “Erosion of human rights.” Expect to see these talking points played out by Democrats over the next several weeks.

“You see, this is their way of covering up what many people have been really concerned about the erosion of basic human rights. We’re seeing crisis calls for coordination,” the mayor of New York said. I can’t even pretend to understand what this statement means. But what I do know, like millions of sane-minded Americans, is that if you proclaim your city to be one that offers sanctuary to sanctuary-seeking illegals, it is your obligation to take them in, house them, and provide for their basic needs. Lawmakers in blue states who wish to violate the rule of law and follow the Biden Administration’s desire to disregard the Consitution completely should bear the brunt of responsibility for harboring illegals. And this is the argument that governors like DeSantis and Abbott are trying to make. It is fine and well to promise these people the world, but it becomes another thing entirely when they arrive in droves in your city, a crisis that Governor Abbott of Texas and Governor Ducey of Arizona have been dealing with since January 2021.

Of course, Adams failed to mention during his CNN interview that the Biden administration’s immigration policies and their shift on immigration have triggered an enormous surge in illegals crossing the southern border, leaving governors in border states no choice but to ship the overload of illegals to states that offer sanctuary in other parts of the country.

The Biden administration is the only entity with the legal ability to deport these illegals, not state governors. Unfortunately, Biden told illegals that our borders were open and they were welcome to come here, causing a border surge.

After Biden took office last year, he swiftly removed several critical immigration rules that President Trump put in place, including ending the construction of the border wall, a key issue in Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign. He also reissued the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and rolled back immigration enforcement policies, which were also put in place by President Trump.

Mayor Adams has confirmed that another six buses have arrived in New York City from Texas filled with illegal immigrants, that the city’s resources are stretched to the max and that they don’t have the resources to deal with the influx of people.

“We received a minimum of six buses early this morning. Over 11,000 individuals, asylum-seekers, and migrants have come to the city already,” Adams said. “It is time for us to coordinate this humanitarian crisis that our country is facing.”

But Governor Abbott of Texas has been urging the Biden administration for months to help deal with the border crisis. Funny how the call to “coordinate this humanitarian crisis that our country is facing” comes after blue state lawmakers cry out for help.
