Military Mail-in Ballots Cast for Trump Found Discarded in Battleground Pennsylvania

It’s becoming more and more obvious that Election Day 2020 is going to be a ‘you-know-what show’ thanks to the widening use of mail-in ballots.
For weeks since the primaries began around the country, one horror story after another involving states and localities that have not used widespread mail-in balloting in the past have surfaced.
Missing ballots. Ballots left in Postal Service trays. Ballots sent to the wrong homes. People getting multiple ballots. Ballots not being delivered or post-marked on time, etc.
President Donald Trump and Republicans have been sounding the alarm all summer that mass mail-in balloting being pushed by Democrats, ostensibly because of the COVID-19 non-planetary killer virus, was going to be a disaster. It was going to lead to massive vote fraud, as well as post-election chaos and legal challenges.
There’s no doubt all of that post-election stuff is coming because what the president and Republicans have said about mail-in balloting ahead of Election Day has been coming true.
Just this week, two more horror stories have emerged, one involving ‘lost’ military ballots, all of which were cast for the president.
The Justice Department announced:
HARRISBURG – On Monday, September 21, 2020, at the request of Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, the Office of the United States Attorney along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Scranton Resident Office, began an inquiry into reports of potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots at the Luzerne County Board of Elections.
Since Monday, FBI personnel working together with the Pennsylvania State Police have conducted numerous interviews and recovered and reviewed certain physical evidence. Election officials in Luzerne County have been cooperative. At this point we can confirm that a small number of military ballots were discarded. Investigators have recovered nine ballots at this time. Some of those ballots can be attributed to specific voters and some cannot. All nine ballots were cast for presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Interestingly, the original URL for this announcement at the Justice Department’s website is no longer valid; but the entire text of the statement (we saw it before it was taken down or moved) can be found here.
But this comes on top of another story involving discarded mail that included absentee ballots in Wisconsin, per Breitbart:
The development comes as U.S. Postal Service officials are investigating trays of mail discovered in a ditch in Greenville, Wisconsin, on Tuesday. In a statement, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office said the three trays were found at 8 a.m. near the Appleton International Airport. A USPS spokesman confirmed to FOX 11 that the mail included absentee ballots.
Speaking to the Washington Examiner, the sheriff’s office said the “mail going to the post office.”
“The United States Postal Inspection Service immediately began investigating and we reserve further comment on this matter until that is complete,” USPS spokesman Bob Sheehan said.
These disasters -- coming within a day of each other -- follow a federal judge's order instructing the U.S. Postal Service to prioritize the delivery of mail-in ballots.
“The right to vote is too vital a value in our democracy to be left in a state of suspense in the minds of voters weeks before a presidential election, raising doubts as to whether their votes will ultimately be counted,” stated U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero.
We agree, but it’ll take more than a federal court decision to guarantee free and fair elections. And the more we rely on mail-in, non-in-person voting, the less fair they’re going to be, obviously.
