While reporting on the death of NBA star Kobe Bryant's death on Sunday, MSNBC anchor Alison Morris appeared to say the "n" word.
"Yeah, it seems like he was just the kind of athlete, the kind of star that was perfectly cast on the Los Angeles n*****s, Los Angeles Lakers," Morris said.

Shortly after the comment, Morris released a statement on Twitter, claiming that she mistakenly called the Lakers the "Nakers" because she confused the team with the Knicks.
"Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say “Nakers.” Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused," she tweeted.
Many people, including Change.org, were not satisfied with the explanation by Morrison and are demanding that she be fired. “What she said was not Accident but on PURPOSE because she paused before she said Los Angeles Ni*****,” Change.org said for their petition to fire the MSNBC host. The petition is closing in on its 50,000 signature goal.
The Twitter world wasn't satisfied with Morrison's apology either.
"That's not what you said love we all heard you say it live," said one Twitter user as they disputed Morrison's claim that she said "Nakers."
Conservative Mark Dice replied: "MSNBC has helped create the Cancel Culture we're living in, which has no regard for facts, or reasonable explanations, so I can't say I feel sorry for you now that the mob is coming for you! Hows it feel to get a dose of your own medicine?"
Another Twitter user tweeted, "Yeah I listened to the clip SEVERAL times and you said the N word with a HARD G. So no we dont believe you."
"Veteran For Trump" Twitter account correctly mentioned how we shouldn't feel bad for Morrison because now she knows how President Trump feels.
"If true. Maybe now you know how it feels to be labeled a racist when you are not. Give @realDonaldTrump a call and ask him how it feels... I do feel sorry for you because while it could have been an honest mistake, the country is now calling for your resignation," they tweeted.
Another Twitter user sang a similar tune. "MSNBC would go ballistic and demand deplatforming if someone not part of the corporate legacy media had made that "mistake." Your company has attempted to get people doxed, harassed, or fired for making the "OK" sign before. Fire Morris!" they said.
