NARRATIVE DESTROYED: Ukrainian President Says "There Was No Blackmail"

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Zelensky once again spoke out about the now infamous phone call that he had with President Trump, doubling down by saying that there was "no blackmail" and that "I had no idea the military aid was held up." This comment from the Ukrainian President completely debunks every claim the House Democrats are currently making.
Check out what the Independent reported:
Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky has insisted he was unaware of Donald Trump’s decision to withhold military aid before their now infamous 25 July phone call.
“There was no blackmail,” Mr Zelensky said during a press conference on Thursday. “I had no idea the military aid was held up.”
The issue of whether Mr Trump offered Mr Zelensky a quid pro quo — US military support in exchange for an investigation into former vice-president Joe Biden in Ukraine — is one of the main focuses of an impeachment inquiry underway in Washington.
This isn't the only time that Zelensky has backed President Trump over their phone call. In late September during a meeting with President Trump in New York, Zelensky told reporters that he felt in no way pressured by President Trump to investigate Joe Biden during a phone call between the two over the summer.
“Nobody pushed me,” Zelensky said on Wednesday.
His comments come shortly after the White House released a transcript of the call which showed that President Trump in no way bribed or threatened Zelensky into starting an investigation into Biden.
“We had a great phone call,” Zelensky added. “It was normal.”
Trump later added: “In other words, there was no pressure and you know there was no pressure.”
As the Democrats become more and more unhinged over the impeachment inquiry as it begins to crumble, the Trump White House is making it clear that they will not comply with the House Democrats' demands.
On Tuesday, the White House sent an eight-page, defiant letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, announcing why they will not be complying with the House Democrats' "illegitimate and unconstitutional" impeachment inquiry.
The Trump administration stated that the letter is one of the, if not the most historic letter ever sent by the White House.
"President Trump and his administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic process," the letter starts. "Your unprecedented actions have left the president with no choice. In order to fulfill his duties to the American people, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his administration cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances."
The document finishes: "The president has a country to lead. The American people elected him to do this job, and he remains focused on fulfilling his promises to the American people."
In late September, Pelosi started an impeachment inquiry into President Trump based on a second-hand account from a politically biased whistleblower. The inquiry was started on the basis that President Trump set up a quid pro quo agreement with Ukraine where Trump would release military aid to Ukraine if they started an investigation into Joe Biden. This was found to be untrue considering the transcript of the call was released which showed absolutely no mention of military aid. Instead of shutting down the inquiry, Democrats decided to continue with it even though no crimes were committed.
