Nervous Comey Lashes Out At Trump In Desperate Tweet

Fired FBI Director James Comey has been under major scrutiny in recent weeks over his potential illegal actions that lead to the beginning of the Russia investigation and the former FBI director seems to be getting pretty nervous.
On Thursday night, President Trump made the shocking move of authorizing the declassification of documents related to the origins of the Russia investigation. Comey responded to this move the next day in a tweet.
“Investigate whatever you wish about 2016 but don’t forget the people of the FBI must investigate and stop Russian efforts in the 2020 election. What impact will loose talk about “spying” and disgraceful talk about “treason” have on FBI agents and analysts?” the fired FBI director said.
Comey has enjoyed portraying himself as the "cool, calm and collected" former FBI director, however it seems that he is getting quite nervous considering his recent outbursts.
Last Friday, Comey sent out a bizarre tweet where he targeted Attorney General Bill Barr for "sliming his own Department."
"The AG should stop sliming his own Department. If there are bad facts, show us, or search for them professionally and then tell us what you found. An AG must act like the leader of the Department of Justice, an organization based on truth. Donald Trump has enough spokespeople," the former FBI director said.
He later slammed President Trump in another tweet.
"The president claiming the FBI’s investigation was “TREASON“ reminds me that a Russian once said, “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.” That shouldn’t happen in America. Who will stand up?" he said.
Comey is clearly upset that Attorney General Barr has assigned U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate potential FISA abuses along with the origins of the Russia probe. This has a direct connection to Comey considering he was the head of the FBI at the time the Russia probe began.
If Barr and Durham find that the FBI lead by Comey abused the FISA application to illegally obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, Comey could potentially face jail time.
Not only has Comey been facing criticism from AG Barr and President Trump, but he has also been facing criticism from others in the intelligence community including Rod Rosenstein.
During an event earlier in the month, Rosenstein called Comey a “partisan pundit” and also blamed him for trampling “bright lines that should never be crossed.”
The comments that were made to the Greater Baltimore Committee, came in response to comments made by Comey directed at Rosenstein and Attorney General Bill Barr, saying that they didn’t have the “inner strength” to “resist the compromises necessary to survive Mr. Trump.”
This wasn’t the only comment that Comey made. He went as far to say that Rosenstein’s character and soul were being consumed in small bites.
“Now, the former director is a partisan pundit, selling books and earning speaking fees while speculating about the strength of my character and the fate of my immortal soul,” Rosenstein said in his speech. “That is disappointing. Speculating about souls is not a job for police and prosecutors. Generally, we base our opinions on eyewitness testimony.”
If Comey honestly thinks he did nothing wrong, what is up with his constant outbreaks?
