Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just got her revenge on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a big way.
During an interview, Pelosi diminished Ocasio-Cortez and three other freshman Democratic lawmakers by saying they have large social media followings, but no real power in the House of Representatives.
“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” Pelosi told The New York Times in a report published Sunday, implying that the group has made themselves irrelevant.
“But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
In response, Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter and used Pelosi’s own words against her in a tweet to her millions of followers.
Responding to a piece titled, “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shouldn’t insult Nancy Pelosi. She should learn from her,” AOC tweeted out three partial quotes from Pelosi.
“‘A glass of water could’ve [beat a 20-yr incumbt].’ ‘The Green Dream or whatever.’ ‘Their public whatever.’ Those aren’t quotes from me; they‘re from the Speaker. Having respect for ourselves doesn’t mean we lack respect for her. It means we won’t let everyday people be dismissed,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

In recent months, Pelosi has slammed Ocasio-Cortez countless times.
The “A glass of water could’ve [beat a 20-yr incumbt]” quote was in reference to Pelosi saying any Democrat could have won the deep blue Bronx/Queens district that AOC won last November.
Before that, Pelosi forgot the name of AOC's Green New Deal and referred to it as the “Green Dream or whatever.”
And during the interview over the weekend, Pelosi hit Ocasio-Cortez and three other radical lawmakers for having “their public whatever,” referring to big social media accounts.
AOC used Pelosi's words against her because she wanted to play the victim card.
Ocasio-Cortez wants people to believe she's doing work to help all Americans while Pelosi isn't doing anything but smearing her.
For those keeping score, here are just a few examples of the AOC-Pelosi feud.
