Ouch: Kamala Harris Just Got Awful News After Debate Debacle

Senator and 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is slipping in the polls, much quicker than anyone thought. According to a recently released poll conducted by CNN, Harris' support has dropped an astonishing 12 points. Before the 2nd primary debate, Harris was sitting at a strong 17% support by Democrats. Now she has dropped to 5%.
“That’s similar to the level of support she had in the spring before a surge following her initial debate performance,” CNN said about the poll. “The June CNN poll was conducted in the days immediately following the first round of Democratic National Committee-sanctioned debates among the presidential candidates.”
Check out what Breitbart reported:
A graph included in the CNN report on its poll, conducted August 15 through 18 among a “random national sample” of 1,001 adults by phone, shows most leading candidates maintaining or increasing support but Harris’ support in falling dramatically.
Sens. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), for example, had 15 percent and 14 percent, respectively, in June and came in at the same percentage of support in this poll.
The poll also shows South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg with the largest single-digit percentage at 5 percent — up for 4 percent in June.
Despite ongoing gaffes and revelations about his health, former vice president Joe Biden regained a large lead in the CNN poll coming in at 29 percent support, almost double that of second-place Sanders at 15 percent.
Biden had 22 percent support in CNN’s June poll.
One of the main reasons why Harris has dropped so much in the polls is because of the brutal beatdown she received by Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard.
During the second Democratic debate hosted by CNN, Gabbard went on the offensive. The moment came when Gabbard hammered Harris on her questionable record as a prosecutor.
“Now, I would like to also talk about this conversation about Eric Garner, because I, too, met with his mother.” Harris flaunted. “And one of the things that we've got to be clear about is that this president of the United States, Donald Trump, while he has been in office, has quietly been allowing the United States Department of Justice to shut down consent decrees, to stop pattern and practice investigations.”
After some back and forth debating between some of the other candidates, CNN host Jake Tapper welcomed Gabbard into the conversation.
"I want to bring in Congresswoman Gabbard," Tapper said. "Congresswoman Gabbard, you took issue with Senator Harris confronting Vice President Biden at the last debate. You called it a quote, false accusation that Joe Biden is a racist. What’s your response?"
Gabbard started: "I want to bring the conversation back to the broken criminal justice system that is disproportionately negatively impacting black and brown people all across this country today. Now Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she’ll be a prosecutor president."
"But I’m deeply concerned about this record," she continued. "There are too many examples to cite but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana."
After breaking for an applause from the crowd, Gabbard continued: "She blocked evidence -- she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California."
