Parents vs. Teachers: USA Largest Teacher’s Union to Defend CRT Against Parental Critique

Teachers unions teamed up with Democrats to advocate for mask mandates for students, and for school lockdowns, and now they decided to defend Critical Race Theory, it’s teaching and implementation of anti-American values in the school curriculum, against the wishes of American families.

The National Education Association, the largest teacher’s union of the nation, is one of the most notable groups to embrace the boost of the anti-white ideology and curriculum across the country.

The NEA, also a Democrat donor group, passed a leftist-driven resolution committing its more than 3 million members to a “study that critiques empire, white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, anthropocentrism, and other forms of power and oppression at the intersections of our society.”

The adopted business item also stated that they oppose “attempts to ban critical race theory and/or The 1619 Project.” Despite the fact that even the creator of the 1619 Project has said in the past that it is not an accurate depiction of history.

“The Association will further convey that in teaching these topics, it is reasonable and appropriate for curriculum to be informed by academic frameworks for understanding and interpreting the impact of the past on current society, including critical race theory,” the website stated before all of the business items and conference materials were scrubbed from the NEA website.

The NEA also plans to pair up with Marxist organization, “Black Lives Matter at School and the Zinn Education Project,” with the plan to “rally” in honor of George Floyd’s birthday and “teach lessons about structural racism and oppression.”

Lindsay Burke, the Director of the Center for Education Policy at the Heritage Foundation said that the organization has a history of echoing progressive talking points, saying basically that this organization seems to focus more on activism and ideology than on improving the quality of education

For months, Democrats and their allies in corporate media have denied that schools around the nation are inundated with anti-white and anti-western curricula. Even teacher’s union heads such as Randi Weingarten of the American Federation of Teachers once claimed that critical race theory “is not taught in schools.”

“The right’s culture warriors are labeling any discussion of race, racism, or discrimination as such to try to make it toxic,” she tweeted. “They’re bullying teachers to try and keep them from teaching the truth.”

The Washington Post also published a glowing profile of Weingarten who made vague promises to sue anyone who tries to stop teachers from teaching what she labels “honest history” but really relies on inaccurate and error-filled content such as the “1619 Project.”

“Amid critical race theory controversy, teacher’s union chief vows legal action to defend teaching of ‘honest history,’” the headline stated.

Parents have clashed with school boards across the country in recent months over the role of racially focused materials in classrooms. American parents now have to contend with teachers unions, their legal muscle, the media and politicians who want to decide what is best to be taught to the American children.
