Pathetic! Here’s How Much Mini Mike Spent On His Failed Presidential Campaign

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg truly believed he could buy himself the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

We all knew he spent a lot of money on his failed campaign, but a brand new filing reveals he actually spent even more than many originally realized.

Federal Election Commission documents filed Monday showed Bloomberg’s campaign spent $1,047,623,103.81 in 2020.

That number plus what the billionaire businessman spent in 2019 totaled $1,221,777,405.26, according to The Daily Beast’s Sam Stein.

The Daily Caller reports:

Bloomberg had already spent $935 million by February 29, then added an additional $112.3 million in March in an effort to bolster his Super Tuesday prospects. However, after a three-month campaign and a poor Super Tuesday performance, the billionaire media magnate dropped out of the race with only 55 delegates and one outright win, the U.S. territory of American Samoa.

The former New York City mayor had made news after spending around $5 million per delegate won on Super Tuesday, but his final campaign price tag in the end equaled $22,214,134.64 per delegate.

Before he dropped out of the race, President Donald Trump absolutely destroyed him.

While speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump took aim at Bloomberg and how Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren had been owning him on the debate stage.

“They got some beauties – Crazy Bernie, Sleepy Joe. We got Mini-Mike, but I think he’s out of it,” the president said.

“Mini-Mike, I know him well. I knew that was going to happen, that was probably the worst debate performance in the history of presidential debates,” he said.

The president said that Bloomberg could “keep spending the money” but his low poll numbers “ just shows you that you can’t buy an election.”

“Boy did Pocahontas destroy him,” he said, using the nickname he made famous for her. “And look what I did to her!”

“She went out and got a test,” he said. “Remember when I said I have more Indian blood in me than she does, and I have none — would love to have some, but I have none.”

“He didn’t know what hit him,” Trump said of Bloomberg’s dumbfounded response to her attack. “He’s going, ‘Oh get me off of this stage.’”

But the hilarious part came when the president squatted behind the podium, mocking Bloomberg’s height, and said “Get me off! Get me off of this stage!”
