Pelosi Plays Race Card, Says Some Chose Their ‘Whiteness Over Democracy’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is one of the most divisive people in Washington, D.C., and has never been shy about using race to sow division.

In a new online video meeting with her hometown San Francisco constituents, she blamed “whiteness” for the riots in the Capitol on Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.

“It has been an epiphany for the world to see that there are people in our country led by this president, for the moment, who have chosen their whiteness over democracy,” she said in the interview.

“The complicity, not only the complicity, the instigation of the president of United States, must and will be addressed,” she said.

Those remarks paled in comparison to what she said to “60 Minutes” in an interview that is set to air on Sunday.

“Is anybody running the executive branch of the government? Who is running the executive branch?” interviewer Lesley Stahl said to Pelosi in a preview clip released by CBS.

“Well, sadly, the person who’s running the executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the United States,” the Speaker said.

“And we’re only a number of days until we can be protected from him. But he has done something so serious that there should be a prosecution against him,” she said.

The Speaker detailed her experience during the siege of the Capitol by a band of marauding rioters last week.

“I was pulled from the podium, just literally pulled from the podium,” she said of the response by Capitol security to protect her.

“They were vocally saying, ‘Where’s the speaker? We know she has staff. They’re here someplace. We’re going to find them,” she said, but it is unknown if she was talking about security or the rioters.

The Speaker made these remarks as she prepares to introduce an Article of Impeachment against President Donald Trump.

The charge against the president will be “incitement of insurrection” stemming from the riots that occurred this week in Washington, D.C., The Daily Mail reported.

A draft of the article prepared by Reps. David Cicilline, Ted Lieu, and Jamie Raskin states that, ‘Incited by Trump, a mob unlawfully breached the Capitol,’ injured law enforcement, menaced lawmakers and the vice president, and interfered with the count of the Electoral College.

It cites Trump’s false claims that ‘We won this election’ and ‘We won it by a landslide, and cites his effort to ‘subvert and obstruct the certification of the results.’

With the Capitol still cleaning up broken windows, smashed historic doors, and mourning a deceased Capitol Police officer, the article states that he ‘gravely endangered the security of the United States.’

Trump ‘betrayed his trust as president,’ it reads, calling his conduct ‘grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.’ It calls for him not just to be removed but to be banned from public office – which would prevent a 2024 presidential run, and potentially make the idea more attractive to Republicans than simple conviction.

“The White House fired back at the impeachment by calling it politically motivated, particularly considering the fact that there are less than two weeks left in his presidency,” it added.
