You probably haven't heard of President Trump's new Executive Order - and you're probably not surprised anymore knowing that the mainstream media covers up the President's accomplishments.
But this week, the President plans to sign the "Buy American Executive Order" - one of the most Pro-American executive orders in modern history.
According to the Daily Caller,
White House officials say the new order — formally titled the “Executive Order On Combatting Public Health Emergencies And Strengthening National Security By Ensuring Essential Medicines, Medical Countermeasures, And Critical Inputs Are Made In The United States — will establish a base level of demand from the federal government to attract U.S. companies to reshore and invest in stateside manufacturing capabilities.
Regardless of its name, the general idea of the new Executive Order ensures that Federal Agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, the VA, and Department of Defense (among others to be named) will source medical equipment and medicine from American sources. The infrastructure for manufacturing these goods here in the states is being mapped out as you read this. Just last week, the President gave Kodak a loan of over $750-million dollars to get manufacturing underway.
The bill addresses an weaknesses or "vulnerabilities" in the now American supply-chain and will allocate resources and as a means to do so. One of the primary functions of the bill will be to lower the cost of medical equipment and medicine in virtually every area of the American health system. This means cheaper healthcare - for all! It also America's health system, one of the greatest on the planet, does not need to be run by and monopolized by the federal government - something the radical-left as dreamed of for many years.
Peter Navarro, Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, has been working hand-in-hand with the President and the FDA, as well as the many companies involved in this new order. MSN reports:
Navarro did suggest that reforming government practices, including the FDA approval process, into a more “rational and streamlined process” would jump start companies’ reinvestment in stateside manufacturing. He added that “the only way we are going to onshore on a longtime basis is through innovation.”
When asked about the lengthy wait between the order first being publicly floated and Trump’s scheduled Thursday signing, Navarro simply responded that “good things take time, and this is a good thing for America.”
“I’ve been a part of roughly 15 executive orders,” he told reporters. “This is one of the most comprehensive and effective executive orders that I’ve seen. It’s going to get the mission done.”
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the obvious flaws in the American medical industry were highlighted, (and since we found out that the previous administration neglected to maintain some much-needed resources to combat a pandemic), American manufacturing of medical goods has been a concern for most Americans.
The president knows as well as anyone that we don't want to be dependent on foreign nations in times of crisis, This bill is a huge step toward regaining American industrial industrial independence and will serve to create jobs for thousands of Americans - jobs that were otherwise lost for good.
