President Trump Weighs In On Washington Redskins Name Change

President Trump has officially weighed in on the upcoming name change for the NFL's Washington Redskins and it will surely trigger a round of exploding heads from the "woke" mob.

The team has been the subject of a ferocious assault by the race-baiting media and the corporate-backed far-left cultural revolution over its nickname which is now about to be cancelled for being racist.

Redskins owner Daniel Snyder who has long fought off the SJW bullies looking for their prized scalp finally crumbled under pressure and agreed to study changing the name in what will be a futile effort at satisfying the zealots.

With shipping giant FedEx which owns the naming rights to the team's stadium applying pressure and Nike pulling the team's merchandise, reports are that the name change could take effect even before the 2020 season kicks off in two months.

Trump has once again dared to defy those who hate us for our freedoms and is the lone voice that the teams which use Indian nicknames are not racist, but rather are tributes to the nobility and bravery of Native Americans.

Via Fox News, "President Trump defends Redskins, Indians franchise names: 'They name teams out of strength, not weakness'":

President Trump shared his thoughts about the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians possibly changing their names in light of the protests following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who was killed while in the custody of Minneapolis police last month.

“They name teams out of STRENGTH, not weakness, but now the Washington Redskins & Cleveland Indians, two fabled sports franchises, look like they are going to be changing their names in order to be politically correct. Indians, like Elizabeth Warren, must be very angry right now!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

On Friday, Cleveland’s MLB team announced that a name change may be happening soon.

The Indians, which were previously known as the Forest Citys, Spiders, Bluebirds, Bronchos, and Naps before adopting their current name in 1915, said they’ve been paying attention to changing times and may change along with them.

The POTUS also referenced Major League Baseball's Cleveland Indians who are also on the way to changing names to placate a mob that will never be satisfied as well as got in a shot at Democrat fake Indian Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren who is on Joe Biden's list as a possible running mate.

The Redskins have been the Redskins since before the team even relocated to the nation’s capital city way back in 1937. They were previously the Boston Redskins from the day of the team’s inception in 1932.

As for the Indians, the history of the now forbidden nickname shows that it was chosen to honor the first Native-American player in pro baseball history,  Louis Sockalexis was a member of the Penobscot Tribe who played for the Cleveland Spiders from 1897-1899.

Next on the mob's hit list are the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida State Seminoles, Atlanta Braves, and every other team that features a Native American name or image as their icon as America's Maoist cultural revolution kicks into overdrive.

The Redskins name change along with President Trump's defense of it is just one more problem for beleaguered NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell who future historians may compare to the captain of the Titanic.
