Princeton Scrubs Globalist Democrat Woodrow Wilson's Name from Public Policy Building Over 'Racist Thinking'

In today’s uber-Leftist academic culture, not even a bona fide Leftist globalist like President Woodrow Wilson is going to be spared if there is even an iota of political incorrectness detected.
And apparently, at Ivy League Princeton, there was.
The intolerant Marxists have decided to remove Wilson’s name from the university’s school of public policy – though it teaches exactly the same kind of globalist-internationalism that Wilson embraced – as well as a residential college because of the former president’s “racist thinking,” Breitbart News reported.
“The trustees conclude that Woodrow Wilson’s racist thinking and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for a school or college whose scholars, students, and alumni must firmly stand against racism in all its forms,” announced Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber on Saturday.
“Wilson’s racism was significant and consequential even by the standards of his own time,” added Eisgruber. “He segregated the federal civil service after it had been racially integrated for decades, thereby taking America backward in its pursuit of justice.”
As such, the board voted to rename the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and Wilson College. The former will now be called the very original “Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.”
The institution was already planning to close the college but Eisgruber said officials will nevertheless “accelerate the retirement of the name” perpetually triggered students (most of whom probably had no idea who Wilson was or anything much about his life and administration) will not have to “identify with the name of a racist president for the next two years.”
So, Wilson College will become “First College.”
Whew. Much better now!
“Wilson’s segregationist policies make him an especially inappropriate namesake for a public policy school,” Eisgruber noted in his statement.
“When a university names a school of public policy for a political leader, it inevitably suggests that the honoree is a model for students who study at the school,” he added.
“This searing moment in American history has made clear that Wilson’s racism disqualifies him from that role,” said Eisgruber – without mentioning that Wilson was a Democrat, or that Democrats, historically, were gargantuan racists who dominated the Old South, the Confederacy, Jim Crow laws, and founded the KKK.
Eisgruber did note further, however, that by honoring Wilson, Princeton makes the university “ultimately the problem” with today’s America (which exists under constitutional amendments outlawing slavery, scores of civil rights laws ensuring equality, and a culture that has come to view racism as inherently unacceptable).
He even suggested that by retaining Wilson’s name, the university is enabling and fomenting a culture that makes people like former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin behave the way he did without fear of consequences (huh?).
“Princeton is part of an America that has too often disregarded, ignored, or excused racism, allowing the persistence of systems that discriminate against Black people,” said Eisgruber.
“When Derek Chauvin knelt for nearly nine minutes on George Floyd’s neck while bystanders recorded his cruelty, he might have assumed that the system would disregard, ignore, or excuse his conduct, as it had done in response to past complaints against him,” he added.
So – despite the fact that Princeton is run by uber-Leftists and has been for decades, it was still a racist institution that was ‘part of the problem?’ Seems like that’s what Eisgruber is really saying.
