Schiff Claims He Didn't Know About FISA Abuse, Says He Would Have Done Something

While joining Fox News on Sunday, far-left Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff claimed he had no clue about the FISA abuse from the FBI while reacting to Inspector General Michael Horowitz's recently released FISA report.

The far-left representative claimed he would have done something if he knew.

“I’m certainly willing to admit that the inspector general found serious abuses of FISA that I was unaware of," Schiff claimed. "Had I known of them, Chris, yes, I would have called out the FBI at the same time. But I think it’s only fair to judge what we know at the time, not what would be revealed two years later, but yes, there were very serious abuses of the FISA process, they need to be corrected, we need to make sure they never happen again.”

Schiff made similar comments while joining George Stephanopoulos.

"I want to ask you a question about the Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on the FBI investigation into the Russia investigation," Stephanopoulos said. "As you know, it founds that there were significant errors in omission, 17 of them, in that FISA surveillance application for Carter Page. And you've actually received some criticism because of your past claims that there were not any omissions... do you accept that your original judgements were wrong and what can you do about it?"

"The Inspector General found things that we didn't know about two years ago," Schiff said. "And I certainly concur with the Inspector General's conclusion that there need to be significant changes to the FISA process. We just didn't have that evidence available two years ago."

"But I think equally important to those who have made the argument, including many that are fond of the Wall Street Journal editorial page, that somehow this investigation was tainted from the start, improperly begun, driven by political bias, that it was all essentially a Deep State conspiracy, that there was spying on the Trump campaign, all of that was debunked by the Inspector General," he added.

Schiff has been plotting President Trump's impeachment since the day he stepped in office. Since 2017, Schiff has been promoting the Russia collusion conspiracy theory and is still promoting it to this day.

On Tuesday, Schiff continued to promote the debunked conspiracy theory when he claimed that President Trump cannot "cheat" in another election.

The comments came during a press conference when Schiff brought up the common talking point that congress should let the American people decide on President Trump in 2020.

Schiff's rebuttal to this point was that the President cannot "cheat" again in another election. Schiff was referring to the debunked conspiracy theory that President Trump colluded with Russia to help himself win in the 2016 election. The far-left representative peddled this conspiracy theory for over three years however Robert Mueller debunked this theory in his report.

“The argument, ‘why don’t you just wait?’ comes down to this: Why don’t you just let him cheat in just one more election?” Schiff said. “Why not let him have foreign help one more time?”:
