Schumer Seeks To Recruit Four GOP Senators To Rig Trial Against Trump

Scheming Senator Chuck Schumer is looking for four Republicans to join him in a bid to rig the upcoming trial of President Trump.
The New York Democrat went on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday where he continued to push the narrative that Mitch McConnell was in the bag for Trump and that it is imperative that the Senate finish the work on the shoddy articles of impeachment by calling witnesses.
Congress set to return to Washington on Monday after their latest taxpayer-funded extended vacation and Schumer's job is to move the ball down the field in order to knock Trump out of the running for the November election.
And he only needs four Republican senators to close his dirty deal.
During his interview with longtime Clinton family stooge George Stephanopoulos, the Senate Minority Leader had this to say.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday he remains “hopeful” that enough Republican senators will join Democratic calls for witnesses and documents in the forthcoming Senate impeachment trial.
“I hope, pray and believe there’s a decent chance that four Republicans will join us — if they do, we will have a fair trial,” Schumer said on ABC’s "This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” noting the minimum number of Republicans that Democrats will need to follow through on their request. “I am hopeful that our Republican colleagues will come forward.”
Schumer and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell remain at an impasse over the terms of the trial. Democrats want to decide on witnesses at the outset — and have called for acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and former Trump national security adviser John Bolton to testify. But Republicans have favored deciding on whether to call witnesses later on in the trial, after hearing from the House impeachment managers and the president’s defense.
None of these witnesses would be beneficial to Trump though and certainly would not include key figures for the defense including Joe and Hunter Biden, Adam Schiff or the whistleblower whose name is forbidden to mention.
While Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been adamant at not allowing the Senate to be hijacked by impeachment-crazed Nancy Pelosi, he may be fighting a losing battle because Schumer's four turncoats may already be in waiting.
Both Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins have already come out against McConnell and there is also failed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney who is a sworn enemy of President Trump.
The other senator could come from a group that includes Never Trumpers and those up for reelection in states friendly to the Democrats. Some possibilities are Cory Gardner of Colorado, Martha McSally of Arizona, Marco Rubio of Florida, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Mike Lee of Utah and Rob Portman of Ohio.
Like Julius Caesar, Trump is surrounded by enemies in the Senate.
If Schumer gets his way, there is no way that President Trump gets a fair trial instead of another kangaroo court like the one on the House.
And the coup continues...
