So, what’s one of the first things a good Catholic boy from Delaware does when he becomes president?
Strengthen First Amendment religious freedoms and protections like his predecessor? No.
He panders to one of his party’s biggest backers and spites his Catholic upbringing and faith, which makes sense because he pretty much just holds it up as a moral compass whenever it’s politically expedient for him.
One of the first things Joe Biden did as president was ensuring that the nation’s biggest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, got a heaping helping of taxpayer dollars.
The default settings to sponsor inauguration flags sends money to the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s partners — including the Planned Parenthood of America, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee installed an “extensive public art display” that includes 191,500 flags on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Americans may symbolically sponsor flags by donating through ActBlue Charities.
These donations will be split evenly among the 96 progressive political groups, including Planned Parenthood, unless donors actively choose to change the amounts directed to each of the various organizations, the National Review reported.
Donating will automatically subscribe Americans to receive emails from Planned Parenthood organizations, Act Blue noted.
“This Field of Flags, which will cover the National Mall from 3rd Street to 13th Street, will represent the American people who are unable to travel to Washington, DC, and reflect our commitment to an inclusive and safe event that everyone can enjoy from their home,” the notice read.
Ahead of Biden’s Wednesday inaugural, pro-life advocates said his would be the most anti-life, pro-abortion in the history of the country — and so far, they’ve been right.
Another of Biden’s officials acts: Reversing the Mexico City Policy, which bans foreign groups that receive U.S. taxpayer funding from giving any money to organizations that perform abortions, provide abortion information or abortion referrals.
In addition, Biden the Catholic pledged to resume federal funding of Planned Parenthood, repeal the Hyde Amendment (which bars the use of federal funds to pay for abortion except to save the life of the woman) and to renew federal legal action against the Little Sisters of the Poor who have successfully fought against an Obamacare provision forcing the organization to provide employees with birth control.
What a ‘moderate.’ And all on his first day, too.
