Trump Reveals Which Democratic Canididate He'd 'Rather Run Against'

On Tuesday night, the New Hampshire Democratic primary shook things up in a big way.

Socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders won the state's primary, with former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg coming in second-place, and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar coming in third.

After the final results scorched across social media, President Donald Trump revealed which Democratic candidate he wanted to run against -- and it might surprise some people.

Speaking in the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said he would rather face-off against Mike Bloomberg in the general election because the billionaire and former New York City mayor is “buying his way in.”

“Frankly, I would rather run against Bloomberg than Bernie Sanders, because Sanders has real followers, whether you like them or not, whether you agree with them or not — I happen to think it’s terrible what [Sanders] says,” said Trump, as reported by Politico.

“Bloomberg is just buying his way in,” he added.

Trump's correct that Bloomberg is trying to buy the nomination.

Bloomberg isn't campaigning or trying to secure delegates in early voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, or Nevada.

Instead, Bloomberg is pouring millions upon millions of dollars into the Super Tuesday states, hoping to shore up the nomination in one fell swoop rather than a long a march.

Trump also blasted Bloomberg for suddenly apologizing for his support of stop-and-frisk, calling it “disingenuous.”

“I support anything that we can do to get down crime and get rid of drugs,” Trump told reporters. “I think when a man is with stop-and-frisk his whole life, and then he decides to go Democrat, and he goes to a church, and he is practically crying — he looked like hell — he is practically crying, saying what a horrible thing he did. I think that’s so disingenuous.”

“When you watch — go back to the church where he apologized for everything he ever did, practically,” he continued. “And he looked pathetic. Our country doesn’t need that kind of leadership.”

As noted by The Daily Wire, Bloomberg came under heavy fire on Monday after leaked audio revealed this series of statements:

“95% of your murders – murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops,” Bloomberg said in the audio. “They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city and that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people that are getting killed. You want to spend the money on a lot of cops in the streets. Put those cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods.”

“So, one of the unintended consequences is people say, ‘oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all the cops in the minority neighborhoods,” Bloomberg continued. “Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is. And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the walls and frisk them. And then they start saying, ‘Oh I don’t want to get caught.’ So they don’t bring the gun. They still have a gun, but they leave it at home.”

Time will tell which left-winger secures the Democratic nomination, but it's clear Trump likes his chances against any of them.

And he should.
