Tucker Carlson Goes Nuclear On “Greasy” Obama For His Highly Partisan Speech At John Lewis’ Funeral

On Thursday evening during his prime time show on Fox News, host Tucker Carlson blasted former President Barack Obama for his hyper-partisan speech during late Rep. John Lewis’ funeral.

Carlson unloaded on the former President, shredding him for his “divisive and deeply dishonest campaign speech.”

“They accuse you of the crimes they themselves are committing,” Carlson started. “It makes your head spin. Arguing with them is pointless. They’re nihilists. They don’t believe in the existence of truth, or in the fixed meaning of words. They care only about power.”

“If you needed more evidence of that, Barack Obama showed up at Congressman John Lewis’ funeral today,” he continued. “Obama claimed he was there to eulogize his old friend. But that’s not true and that’s not what he did. Instead, Obama gave a divisive and deeply dishonest campaign speech in church.”

Carlson played a clip from the funeral and responded by saying, “It’s hard to believe that clip is real, but it is, down to the coined fake accent, Mr. Hawaii guy. Imagine if some greasy politician showed up at your loved one’s funeral and started throwing around stupid partisan talking points about senate procedure. Can you imagine that? You would be shocked if that happened. You’d probably walk out. Desecrating a funeral with campaign slogans? What kind of person would do that?”

“But Democrats in the audience didn’t seem offended,” he said. “They didn’t blink. They cheered. It all seemed normal to them. And why wouldn’t it? Political power is their religion. It’s not out of place in a church. it’s what they worship.”

Carlson also absolutely demolished Obama for comparing America’s police to racist Alabama Democrat Bull Connor.

“Now, Barack Obama, one of the sleaziest and most dishonest figures in the history of American politics used George Floyd’s death at a funeral to attack the police. Here’s what he said,” Carlson said.

“Bull Connor may be gone. But today we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of black Americans,” Obama said during the funeral.

Carlson shot back, “Bull Connor! The country fallen apart riven by racial strife and tribalism, and one of the most respected people in the whole country decides to pour gasoline on that and compare the police to Bull Connor? As if America and Minneapolis is like Birmingham, Alabama in 1963? It’s insane. It’s reckless!”

Carlson is right. Obama’s speech at Lewis’ funeral was disgusting and divisive. Instead of solely focusing on the person that Lewis was, Obama decided to take the opportunity to hammer President Donald Trump and talk about mail-in voting as well as voter ID laws.

“Today, we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans,” Obama said while referring to the death of George Floyd.

“George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators,” the former President falsely claimed.

“We may no longer have to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar in order to cast a ballot, but even as we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting,” he continued, taking a clear shot at President Trump.

Obama then went on to claim that this was being done “by closing polling locations, and targeting minorities, and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision — even undermining the Postal Service in the run-up to an election that’s got to be dependent on mail-in ballots so that people don’t get sick.”
