Voter Calls Trump "Mentally Retarded," Kamala Harris Responds "Well Said"
On Saturday during a campaign event, a voter told Kamala Harris that he doesn't agree with the notion that impeachment “does not make sense," and that President Trump's actions are “mentally retarded." Harris quickly agreed.
“Well said, well said,” Harris laughed.

1) R-word is unacceptable. It is a slur, an insult.
2) Kamala should have handled this better. An apology is needed.
Raheem Kassam called out the hypocrisy:
Others joined in to call her out:
Using "retarded" as a slur and an insult is never, EVER "well said", @KamalaHarris, no matter who it's against and no matter the larger point being made. It's ALWAYS a betrayal of the disability community.— Kendally Brown (@kendallybrown) September 7, 2019

Kamala Harris laughing and saying "well said... Well said" when a voter calls Trump "mentally retarded" is a really horrible look.— Josh Jordan (@NumbersMuncher) September 7, 2019
Now that she is being called out for her response, Harris is "apologizing" as she flaunts her work for the special needs community.
"I would never condone anyone using that word in any way shape or form, even including the guy, against the guy I’m running against. Period. Period. Period," Harris later said.
Harris continued: "I have worked my entire career to do a number of things including to ensure our disability community receives the dignity and the rights that they deserve. I just... rolled out a policy on that, I think I might be one of the only candidates that did."
"That is a reflection of just my long standing commitment to the dignity and the rights and accessibility and all of the associated points about the rights of our disability community," Harris said about her disability plan.
After the long bogus apology, Harris said that she actually didn't hear the voter say "mentally retarded."
"When my staff played the video from my town hall yesterday, it was upsetting. I didn’t hear the words the man used in that moment, but if I had I would’ve stopped and corrected him. I’m sorry. That word and others like it aren’t acceptable. Ever." the Senator said in a tweet.
