WATCH: Don Lemon Snaps At Chris Cuomo For Asking Dem Senator About Packing the Supreme Court

There is a reason why President Donald Trump has labeled CNN host Don Lemon (le-MON, we’re told) “the dumbest man on television” – it’s because he continues to prove it.

During his nightly hand-off with network colleague Chris Cuomo, the subject of the Democrat left’s intention of packing the Supreme Court with like-minded judicial activists should Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win came up, and as he so often does, Lemon wasted little time in displaying his ignorance.

Red State notes:

Court-packing is an issue that isn’t going away for former Vice President Joe Biden, who continues to not give a straight answer on the matter. But this doesn’t mean that his allies in the corporate press aren’t still trying to downplay the fact that he refuses to give the American public an answer regarding his position on the issue. CNN’s Don Lemon beclowned himself once again as he attempted to run interference for the Democratic presidential candidate.

On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN Tonight,” Lemon took his colleague Chris Cuomo to task for asking Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) whether he believes that adding seats to the Supreme Court is appropriate. Lemon argued that “it’s not a legitimate question” and that Cuomo was somehow “doing the Republicans’ work” by bringing it up.

Watch:

"Why are you like pushing him [Booker] about court-packing? Because you’re doing the Republicans’ work," Lemon said.

“No, I’m not. It’s a legitimate question," Cuomo shot back, himself getting something right for a change.

Lemon...not so much.

"Well, look, it’s not a legitimate question in that, during the debate, the vice president raised the question. The moderator didn’t raise the question. Plus, it is — this is something that — this is a hypothetical. Whether or not — Joe Biden has said twice, at least on tape that I’ve seen, how he feels about court-packing," he hemmed and hawed. "And I think it’s a distraction from the Republicans –.”

Cuomo broke in and asked why Biden shouldn't have to answer whether he still doesn't want to pack the court or if he's changed his stance.

“Because he doesn’t have to,” Lemon insisted, reflecting on Booker's claim that it is Congress that would decide whether to add judges (yes, but, a president would have to sign the legislation changing the number).

But there was Lemon, defending Booker again.

"I don’t think he has to answer it. Because I think it is a red herring. Because they don’t want to talk about how Mitch McConnell has packed the court over the years by not allowing –.”

And by the way, Cuomo noted that Booker failed to answer the question of whether Biden and Dems would pack the court -- which tells us that's precisely what they are planning to do.

But there was Lemon, defending Booker again.

"I don’t think he has to answer it. Because I think it is a red herring. Because they don’t want to talk about how Mitch McConnell has packed the court over the years by not allowing – It’s a hypothetical. I’m sure there are some Democrats who want to do it. … It’s never, ever, ever going to happen," he added.

For the record, the Senate doesn’t have to ‘consent’ to a president’s nominee; and also, the GOP-led Senate hasn’t been “packing” the court, they’ve been filling vacancies as they happen, which is how it’s supposed to work under the Constitution.

Don Lemon, TV’s dumbest man.
