There are times in life when you made a decision, they after announcing it to the world, realized it was a terrible idea.
As a politician who is running for office again, who just caused his lead to evaporate overnight, showing up where voters can ask you what you were thinking, might not be a good idea.
Former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), who is running for the job again, has fallen rapidly in the polls due to self-inflicted political wounds.
McAuliffe who has stumbled repeatedly on the topic of education — long considered a winning issue for Democrats — recently dismissed parents’ concerns about the teaching of critical race theory and other controversial topics to students grades K-12.
During a Sept. 28 debate, McAuliffe said, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach” when asked to respond to complaints about sexually explicit books.
Following this and other political gaffs the polls flipped shocking the democratic establishment.
McAuliffe, who served as Virginia’s governor between 2014 and 2018, had been considered an almost shoo-in especially after Biden carried Virginia by 10 percentage points in last year’s presidential election.
A new Fox News survey shows Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin now LEADING McAuliffe by eight percentage points (53-45) among likely voters, with just 2 percent supporting other candidates or undecided.
That represents a dramatic turnaround from just two weeks ago when the same poll showed McAuliffe with 51 percent support among likely voters, 46 percent supporting Youngkin, and 3 percent undecided or supporting other candidates.
McAuliffe campaign had scheduled bus tour events in Woodbridge, Prince William County on Thursday evening, and at the Port City Brewing Co. in Alexandria on Friday afternoon.
As part of his campaign’s promotion of the Woodbridge event, voters were offered the chance to “join Terry McAuliffe as he takes a bus tour across the commonwealth to get out the vote!”
However, in a video tweeted by Lt. Gov. candidate Hala Ayala from Woodbridge, where she also scheduled an event at the same address, McAuliffe is nowhere to be found.
I started my day by voting for Democrats up and down the ballot and ended my day surrounded by friends, mentors & fellow activists in Prince William County.

On Friday, McAuliffe planned to attend an event at Port City Brewing Co. in Alexandria, the brewery confirmed to the Daily Caller. However, McAuliffe skipped the event, reportedly due to inclement weather, according to Axios’ Cuneyt Dil. Democratic Rep. Don Beyer and union and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta appeared in his place.

Well maybe McAuliffe decided to pass on the events due to low turnouts or he simply wanted to say out of the news letting his massive negative advertising buy trying to get him back the momentum just a few days from the election.
In the end, if Glenn Youngkin wins the race the left will only have a person to blame, Terry McAuliffe. I am praying for this to come to pass, it would send a huge message to DC.
