Fatal stabbings are rapidly increasing in New York as part of a citywide surge in violent crime. NYPD data released on Monday showed a 36 percent surge in major crime only this year. In addition, fatal stabbings have increased by a whopping 43 percent in August 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Furthermore, the rate of grand theft in NYC is up 48.3 percent, auto theft by 42 percent, robbery by 39.8 percent, rapes increased by 10%, and felonious assaults by 19.5 percent.
It seems now that the people in the Big Apple have preferred using knives and are going on a stabbing rampage since it’s a more conventional tool. A New York officer said this to the media: “People aren’t afraid to carry guns, so obviously they are not worried [about carrying] knives. Plus it is a lot easier to get a hold of a knife”. Another cop added: “If you get caught carrying a knife or even a machete you just get a desk appearance ticket. It is a misdemeanor. No value for human life.”
New York City is not alone in this crime insanity as several other democrat-run cities are filled with criminals walking around in the streets. From the blood-filled streets of Chicago’s Southside to Baltimore, St. Louis, Cleveland, Detroit, and many other Democrat cities, violent crime and total disregard for the value of human life have rendered parts of once-great cities veritable war zones.
Only these democrats understand what they are trying to achieve by not incarcerating numerous murderers and violent criminals. However, if they expected anything short of the increasing crime rate in their states, they have successfully shown that they do not have what it takes to govern an entire state.
As people have bestowed authority on them by electing them into such positions, it is believed that what they least expect is protection and security. However, these democratic politicians who are to blame for this crime surge have purposefully failed in this simple task.
Joseph Giacalone summarized this situation as a retired NYPD sergeant and adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. He said, “We’ve probably lost two decades-worth of crime reductions, and that’s the real shame. All those years of hard work by the Police Department are all gone in one year,” and that is nothing but the truth.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams and former Mayor Bill de Blasio have made themselves scarce for comments, just as expected. After releasing violent criminals and murderers back into society, it is only expected that they will be unavailable to speak about what their actions have caused so far.
This has shown that Democrats have only pretended to care about the people’s lives and only take action when something directly affects them or can be helpful. That explains why they couldn’t care less about the “assault knives” as much as they cared about the rifles.

From the days of Barack Obama, the Democrats have continuously exploited the daylights of every mass shooting he could find. The democrats are quick to respond to every gun scandal, exploring them and even going as far as using children as props because they know they have control of the media.
The left-wingers have exploited everything they could concerning rifles, all because they are chipping away at the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners. Perhaps “assault knives” are next on the agenda for democratic exploitation?
