AOC Reintroduces Green New Deal Legislation; Blames Racism For Climate Change

Joe Biden is holding his big climate summit to fulfill his vows to the radical environmental elements of the Democrat base. Now there is a renewed push for the “Green New Deal”, a collection of horrible ideas that will decimate the American economy and further strip freedoms, all in the name of battling climate change.

On Thursday Biden will preside over the Leaders Summit on Climate, a virtual extravaganza to be conducted from the White House. Invitations have been extended to 40 world leaders who will hold initial discussions on how to impose the transformational agenda. This move is being championed by progressives including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey.

AOC was widely ridiculed when she initially rolled out her Green New Deal proposals, as were chocked full of daffy ideas such as eliminating airplanes and getting rid of “farting cows”. This all would supposedly be done in pursuit of “net-zero” emissions. Well now she is back and pushing her junk science harder than ever. This time it’s under the pretense that fighting climate change is a part of the greater crusade of eliminating racism.

In a speech timed to coincide with Biden’s big climate shindig, AOC declared that, “We must recognize in legislation that the trampling of indigenous rights is a cause of climate change, that the trampling of racial justice is a cause of climate change.”

Her speech also took advantage of the verdict in the George Floyd murder trial to further pollute the country. Then again, sowing the seeds of racial animosity has become the central organizing principle of the radicalized Democratic party.

We’re going to transition to a 100 percent carbon free-economy, that is more unionized, more just, more dignified and guarantees more health care and housing than we ever have before.” she said at a press conference in Washington. She added, “Do we intend on sending a message to the Biden administration that we need to go bigger and bolder? The answer is absolutely yes.”

There will never be enough money to spend on “climate justice” for some people.

Ocasio-Cortez’s relaunch of the Green New Deal will put more pressure on Biden and his handlers to go even further left than they already have. Between the executive orders killing the Keystone XL Pipeline and canceling of drilling leases, he has cost the fossil fuel industry thousands of well-paying jobs.

When Biden recently rolled out his “infrastructure” package it apparently wasn’t enough for the former bartender, who balked and called for $10 trillion instead. The package as it stands is a gargantuan $2 trillion boondoggle that squanders money on electric cars, renaming “racist” highways and laying the groundwork for government-controlled internet.

In an appearance on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show she said, “I think that the vision that President Biden and the administration has laid out, you’re right, has surprised a lot of us in a positive way, and in the detail and the thought that’s here, the scope of it is really encouraging except I think the how that $2.2 trillion, $2.25 trillion over eight years, I have serious concerns that it’s not enough to realize the very inspiring vision that Biden has advanced.”

She continued; “So I believe that those of us here, especially as progressives within the Democratic Party — we know that there is so much more opportunity here. In order for us to realize this inspiring vision, we need to go way higher. That’s what’s going to help us actually deliver on this really promising and inspiring vision the president laid out today.”

The “Squad” leader added; “I think that we need to really have some shorter timelines, some urgency, greater urgency in this package, and I think some of the investments need to be greater.”

Now that the Green New Deal is back on the table, look for AOC and other progressives to hold Biden’s feet to the fire with their introduction of “race, equity, and inclusion” into the equation.
