The Biden administration will reportedly ban reporters from juvenile detention facilities now accommodating unaccompanied minors who came across the United States-Mexico border seeking asylum.

“Reporters will not be allowed inside the Carrizo Springs facility for unaccompanied minors that was recently opened under the Biden administration in Texas, a Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families spokesperson,” said in response to the Daily Caller’s request to tour the facility.
“The Office of Refugee Resettlement is not hosting media tours of unaccompanied children facilities currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the spokesperson told the Daily Caller.
“If media tours resume, we will send a media advisory,” the spokesperson added.
After Biden loosened restrictions on the United States-Mexico border, a flood of asylum seekers responded by coming in droves, hoping to take advantage of the Democrat Party’s more lenient immigration policies.

The Washington Post reported that the former Trump “cage” facilities are being “reactivated” to hold up to 700 children ages 13 to 17.
“Dozens of migrant teens boarded vans Monday for the trip down a dusty road to a former man camp for oil field workers here, the first migrant child facility opened under the Biden administration.
The emergency facility — a vestige of the Trump administration that was open for only a month in summer 2019 — is being reactivated to hold up to 700 children ages 13 to 17.
Government officials say the camp is needed because facilities for migrant children have had to cut capacity by nearly half because of the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, the number of unaccompanied children crossing the border has been inching up, with January reporting the highest total — more than 5,700 apprehensions — for that month in recent years.”
Well, Washington Post, it could be because they know the media, like you, will call them a “migrant facility for children” and not screech at the top of your voice that kids are in cages.
The blatant hypocrisy of both Democrats and the media is astounding.
During the 2020 Democrat Presidential Debate, Kamala Harris promised that she would release kids from cages.
“I will immediately put in place a meaningful process for reviewing the cases for asylum and release children from cages and get rid of the private detention centers. And ensure that this microphone that the president of the United States holds in her hand is used in a way that is about reflecting the values of our country and not about locking children up.”
And during a presidential debate, Biden also derided the use of cages.
“Their kids were ripped from their arms and separated,” he said. “And now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone — nowhere to go, nowhere to go.”
Biden had also asserted that the cages were not built by the administration of former President Obama.
A claim that was so egregious that PolitiFact fact-checked it as false.
“What Latinos should look at is, comparing this president to the president we have is outrageous, number one,” Biden said in the claim. “We didn’t lock people up in cages. We didn’t separate families. We didn’t do all of those things, number one.”

Obama and Biden in 2014 saw an influx of children arriving at the border without a parent or guardian, and reporting from 2014 by the Arizona Republic referred to a chain-link enclosure holding children as ‘cages.’
A former Homeland Security secretary under the Obama administration in interviews has acknowledged that some have described as ‘cages’ the enclosures used during Obama’s tenure,” it said.

Not many will be surprised that Biden and Harris broke their word.
